Just Riding By...

I wanted to make a card for a crafty friend of mine to go along with a few goodies I found that totally made me think of her!  (had to wait til she got them til I posted- Hi Libby!)

She's a big fan of bicycling and this Bicycle Kaylee image immediately jumped onto my craft desk! :) & breaking into my 6x6 paper pad stash to find this perfect bicycle paper to go with! :)

April Showers bring...

Water puddles??  LOL I thought that might be a fitting title for this fun & quick card I put together for the Some Odd Girls FB Challenge- "April Showers"

I got this Stompin' Tobie image specifically for my son because boy does he love water- puddles, playing with the garden hose, bath time.. you name it anything that includes water and he's there! He received a pair of rain boots for Christmas I can't for it to actually rain so he can give them a try! :)



I kept it pretty clean and simple, & I knew I had some scraps of this holographic wave paper that would make a perfect puddle!

Strawberry Girl

There was lots of fun happening last week on the Some Odd Girl facebook group- it was the Spring social scavenger hunts & freebie digis were involved! :)

I managed to find them all! & started coloring them this weekend.. one of my favorites was this Strawberry Girl Gwen!

I'm in the middle of transforming what was our half-office-half-craft room into a full craft room. I'm so excited!! So all my supplies are somewhat stacked up everywhere (until I take a trip to IKEA for some shelves!) but I managed to find these papers to put together this card! :)



She's just so sweet in her Strawberry dress & headband! :)

*edited* After looking at this a bit I decided it was missing something and added some GOLD sequins... what's a Leprechaun without some gold coins? & it's a bit hard to see in the pic but the gold accents on his hat, bow tie, socks, & buckles have a bit of shimmer to them too! I'm also playing along in the Pot o' Gold challenge @Some Odd Girl!

More SOG ♥

As promised, here are the other cards I managed to squeeze out this weekend for the Some Odd Girl Facebook challenges!

This first one I used Bicycle Kaylee in the mix & match challenge to use colors: turquoise, lime green, yellow & pink, I followed the Freshly Made Sketch too... but didn't get it blogged in time to enter! Oops! :(


The last card I made was for the punch challenge. I used Garden Mae- I love her because she's so cute & since my husband and I have really gotten into gardening in our backyard growing veggies & flowers!

SOG Fun- Wave Mae

So I was super inspired this weekend to play with a few new Some Odd Girl digi images!  I was also playing along with the challenges on their Facebook group page last week, out of the 5 days of challenges I got to 3!

I used the CAS(E) this Sketch! #67 to create this one using Wave Mae!


I added my own little touch to the sketch by adding the buttons (& faux stitching of course!)

Popping in super quick to share another Some Odd Girl card I made this week!

I discovered that I hadn't colored this sweet digi yet! Tobie is just SOO cute!!



I kept the card pretty simple since I just wanted to concentrate on the image since its just so SUPER cute!

Celebrate Today

I seem to go on spurts of creating cards with certain stamp lines.. and besides my design team projects- I've been  revisiting my {small} collection of Some Odd Girl images! They are definitely lots of fun to color!

On this card I used Weekend Kaylee, who's a freebie when you download the "Getting Started with Digital Images eBook"



I've been working on expanding the color combinations I use in both papers and copics... discovering myself saying, "why didn't I think of that before?" a lot! :) So this was a fun one to create with bright pink, blue & gray! :)

I had the itch to play with this sweet What's Up Mae? image from Some Odd Girl! She's just so much fun to color and definitely one of my favorite SOG images!

A Fairy Hello

Happy Hump-Day! :)

Have you all checked out Some Odd World yet? It's a wonderful site dedicated to those Some Odd Girl lovers (like myself) to chat, play along in weekly challenges & meet some fabulous crafters!

This week's challenge is  "Fairy Magic!" I had to get a little creative with this one since I don't have any SOG fairies....yet! I gave Happy Gwen some wings by trimming a doily and glittered her up!



She looks like a fairy doesn't she?

I also must be on an aqua kick..love this bright color with the muted kraft color :)

Summer Mae

I couldn't pass up a sale that Some Odd Girl was having over the weekend and picked up a few more adorable digis!

Playing along with the July Sketch  and the tropical challenge (I chose to use some tropical colors..) over at Some Odd World! I used Summer Mae and came up with this! 

(I made this late last night & may have gone a little faux stitch crazy!)

Can't wait to get the others colored too! :)

Just Saying Hello

2 posts in one day... had a late night crafting yesterday :)

In search of some new challenges to enter I found CAS(E) this Sketch and has just finished coloring another "Hey Mae" (I'm still addicted to these SOG images I tell ya!) and came up with this! I'm also playing along with the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp!

She's just so sweet.. I might just need to make another one of these and send it up to my nieces! :) She's the perfect image for tweens/teens! :)

I made this card for the challenge over at Some Odd World-Trashed Flowers (aka stop hoarding your stash and use them! LOL)

Somewhat inspired with the Fourth of July coming up I used a red, white & blue color combo and came up with this!
