Hi all- hope everyone had a fun, turkey-filled Thanksgiving!
Since it was a nice LONG weekend, it made for some good crafting time. Didn't get as much as I would have liked- but the night isn't over yet! I did find some time to squeeze in a card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge (#44): Supplies: Christmas Characters (Inkadinkado), Scallop Circle die (Nestabilities- Spellbinders), Ticket corner punch (Stampin' Up!), Snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Stickles (Ranger Industries)
Using the same sketch, I also used it for the Hero Arts challenge last week for the "last minute gifts" theme. I found these cute boxes at Borders Bookstore in the clearance section, they're the size to hold a CD. I covered it with blue cardstock, added some stamping and came up with this:
Supplies: Let it Snow (Hero Arts), Snowflakes (Inkadinkado), Scallop Circle die (Nestabilities-Spellbinders), Versamark Dazzle Frost ink (Tsukineko)
Thanks for stopping in!
Can you believe it?!?! One month- 31 days until Christmas- Where oh where has the year gone??? My goal is to get my Christmas cards out ON TIME this year, and so far so good. I had pondered for quite sometime on what to do, I wanted something simple to allow mass production to be easy- but yet not too simple that it looked like anyone could do it :)
I definitely knew that I wanted to use this set from Hero Arts, all the animals are just so cute! And with the exception of this Santa- how could I make Christmas card without Santa?
My plan is to make a few of each of these. They all follow a basic layout but with a twist on the patterned paper, sentiment and ribbon:
Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas (Hero Arts), Welcome Christmas sentiment from Heard from the Heart (Stampin' Up!), Stickles (Ranger Industries)
Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas (Hero Arts), Welcome Christmas sentiment from Heard from the Heart (Stampin' Up!), Ornaments (G-rated Rubber Stamps), Inkssentials Glossy Accents (Ranger Industries)
Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas & Santa's Reindeer (both Hero Arts), Stickles (Ranger Industries)
Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas (Hero Arts), Merriest (Penny Black), Christmas Trees from Tag Time (Stampin' Up!), Inkssentials Glossy Accents (Ranger Industries)
Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas, Branch from Tree, Bird & Messages, Holiday Messages with Brackets (all Hero Arts), Ornaments (G-rated Rubber Stamps), Inkssentials Glossy Accents (Ranger Industries)
Supplies: Candy Cane Santa & Holiday Messages with Brackets (both Hero Arts), Liquid Applique (Marvy Uchida)
Well that's all of them! I'll try to remember to take a picture of all of them together once I'm done. Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
What a better way to end the weekend (already!?!?) than with another sketch challenge from Taylor's Cupcake Challenge! Over the weekend I found myself in the midst of a new-to-me scrapbooking and stamp store called Scrapbooks, Etc! Oh what a great store- I could have spent all day in there.. aisles and aisles of patterned paper, supplies, tools- and even more racks of Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock! I found some patterned paper that was just perfect for the challenge.. I used it for the background, but enough rambling- Here is the sketch, and my card:Supplies: ClearDesign Cupcakes (Hero Arts), Square Scallop dies (Spellbinders - Nestabilities), Patterned papers are Lasting Impressions (Cupcake Dream) & Die Cuts With a View.I also participated in the Hero Arts challenge last week, Shari Carroll was the blogger of the week and she shared different inking techniques. For this card, I colored on the stamp with markers and spritzed it with water before stamping it on watercolor paper. I have yet to win a challenge so hopefully this will win me one!Supplies: CardArt Decorative Birds (Hero Arts); Thank You sentiment from Upsy Daisy set (Stampin' Up!) Hope you all had a great weekend- and until the next post, Happy Stamping!
