Coffee & Donuts

I'm back again with my second & last (sniff sniff) post as a guest designer over at Butterfly Reflections, Ink!

I decided with the Coffee Lovers Blog hop going on- I thought it would be appropriate to make another coffee card ;)  (& since Butterfly Reflections, Ink is one of the many sponsors for the hop!)

On to my card...

I used the sweet Big Bold Brew & Say Yes to Donuts stamp sets from Neat & Tangled... I had been eyeing them forever and finally got my hands on them!

Coffee & Donuts

I colored them with my trusty copics, fussy cut them out, added some foam tape and stuck them on some white cardstock and fussy cut them out again for some extra dimension. I dug through my stash of patterned papers and found these fall-ish colors and arranged them randomly to fit in the bottom corner. Added the cute coffee & donuts kids, the sweet sentiment, stickles for the rainbow donut sprinkles, and finished it off with faux white stitching to tie everything together.

Copics:
skin: E000, E00, E21, R01
hair (boy): E44, E47, E49; (girl): E25, E27, E29
mug: B02, B12, B14, B16
coffee: E70, E74, E77
pants: W3, W5
shoes: N5. N7
donut: E31, E33, E35; R81, R83, R85
bow/pants: R17, R37, R89

Big thanks again to Vanessa and the Butterfly Reflections, Ink crew for having me apart of the team this month!  Hope to join them again sometime... Thanks for spending a bit of your Sunday with me!

Sending hugs

Sympathy cards are such difficult cards to make, but a close friend recently lost a family member, and I wanted to make her and her mom cards to send my condolences.

I paired the flower from the Shine Brighter stamp set by Concord & 9th with a sentiment from Neat & Tangled's Better Together stamp...

Sending Hugs

I stamped and masked the flower to create a bundle, added the leaves and colored using Copic markers. I kept the card very simple by embossing the card base and adding a small strip of patterned paper.

The second card I made for my friend's mom...

Sympathy

I used a background cling stamp I had hiding in my stash by Hero Arts, Flowing flowers and Leaves (sorry I can't find it available). I stamped it in white pigment ink (Hero Arts, Unicorn),  and using fantastix coloring tools with other pigment inks (Memento Luxe: Love Letter, Pear Tart, ) I colored on top of the white flowers and leaves. I stamped the  'sympathy' using another set from Concord & 9th- Sophisticated Script, I love this set- it makes it easy to look like I wrote calligraphy!

Thanks for stopping by.. I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share!

The Fox Says...

Whew! It's been a wild and crazy few weeks- who knew planning (& throwing) 2 birthday parties back to back would take so much out of me! My daughter's 1st and my son's 4th birthdays are about 3 weeks apart!

I posted the card I made for my daughter here and today I'm sharing the card I made for my son, and TODAY is his actual birthday!

Like I said he's 4-  and he is all about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (that was the theme of his party!), space-the solar system & planets, learning the U.S. states and capitals (yes, it's true!), and all about being a BOY!

the fox says...

Just like my daughter's card, I used the sweet Better Together stamp set- these kids are just too cute! The little boy was just a perfect fit because one of my son's favorite songs right now is, "What Does the Fox Say?" He would listen to it all day if I'd let him!

I'm playing along with the Neat & Tangled Little Tangles challenge this week- Anything Goes
This card was just what I needed to get my mojo going again- I've been dying to get back into my craft room!

Thanks for stopping by... off to celebrate my boy! ♥

Happy Birthday Girl!

(Wow! This my 1000th post! I would have never thought I'd get this far when I first started blogging so many years ago!)

I finally got my hands on my FIRST Neat & Tangled stamp set, Better Together. This super cute set was designed by the fabulous Elena Roussakis, I love her sweet images! This set is *perfect* for a birthday card for my daughter... she's going to be ONE in a little over a week! I can't believe it!! There's actually stamp that fits my son too- but I still have a few weeks for that one! ;)

On to my card, I'm playing along with the Little Tangles challenge...OMBRE!

And the Anything Goes Challenge Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp!

I used the sweet little girl with the dog on her head- just because she's super cute and a little silly like my daughter! Also because her dress was open for me to add some design to...

Birthday Girl

I stamped the '1' from Lawn Fawn's Quinn's 123s, I just had to mask off the bottom to make it fit on her dress. I colored her dress in various shades of pinks and aquas to create an 'ombre' effect & added some sparkle (Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen). I used distress inks to create the ombre tag (Pretty Pink Posh), stamped the hello from the same set and added the 'birthday girl' (Hero Arts). Finished it off with some fun patterned papers scraps from a card I had done a few days ago!

Off to do some more party prepping! Thanks for stopping by!

Love you

I'm on a bit of a roll this week!  FOURTH card this week (another to share later...)

In my blog hopping/twitter following I discovered this blog-

Where have I been that I've only found them now?  They even have freebie digis! (found here)

I decided to play along with the current challenge-a SKETCH! & if you don't know me by now... I love me a good sketch! Quickest card I have ever made with *gasp* no coloring (shh... don't tell my copics!) I also pulled out some sequins that I've been waiting to use too!

Love You

Think I'll need to sneak this one somewhere for my hubby! ♥
