PAPER SWEETIES DECEMBER 2014 INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #26 – ‘HAPPY HOLIDAYS’

Can you believe it's already DECEMBER!?!? I certainly cannot- I'm in denial at how fast this year is just flying by!

But with a new month comes a NEW Inspiration Challenge at Paper Sweeties!



Using the new Homemade with Love  set (& sweet cuts) I chose to use the colors as the inspiration for my card!

To fill some of you in on some recent goings on- my lil family is expanding by two lil feet! AND we just found out last week that's it's going to be a bouncing baby GIRL!! We are super excited and can't wait!!

To celebrate our exciting news I made this sweet & simple card using Peek-a-Boo 2 by Chi Chi Memories...

Woohoo! It's Friday!

I'm hosting the new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at The Greeting Farm this week! And with the holidays literally AROUND THE CORNER I chose to make the challenge this week SPARKLE!

That's right, pull out your glitter, metallic, bling and make those cards SPARKLE & SHINE!!

I decided to play with the sweet new Holiday Anya 4 for my card this week...



I diecut some 'snowflakes' from silver glitter paper (MFT delicate doilies) in addition to the tag (Pretty Pink Posh), and what's a card without a couple of sparkly sequins?

Warm Hello!

It's finally starting to feel like fall around here. and I LOVE this weather... can't wait to pull out my comfy sweaters & scarves!

Paper Sweeties November Release Rewind!

HI! (sorry I'm a bit late!)

It's here! It's release day at Paper Sweeties! You can now find all the stamp sets and sweet cuts dies that we've been previewing this week HERE!

For my last preview for this release, we're doing a little rewind and using some older sets along with the new! I mixed together some snowflakes from the Holly Days set and Homemade with Love set with the Believe die-cut from last month's Joy sweet cuts release to create this simple card!



I also added some flower sequins and bakers' twine also found in the Paper Sweeties shop!

Paper Sweeties November Release Party!

It's Day 3 of the Paper Sweeties previews!

This time around I decided to pull out my brushes and do some watercoloring! I used the ornaments from the Holly Days set...



I stamped the bulbs in white ink and embossed on watercolor paper.  I colored them using distress ink, used some metallic thread, paired it with the Joy Sweet Cuts die from last month's release! Oh, and that fabulous seam binding ribbon is from the Paper Sweeties shop too!

Spreading Holiday Cheer!

Back again on this fabulous Friday for the next Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm!!

This week's challenge is Holidays, now that they are *just* around the corner!  One of my local radio stations has even started playing Christmas music non-stop- not too sure if I'm ready for that just yet! LOL!

I decided to pull out my Dollie with Gifts stamp from the last release for this card, I was blog surfing and came upon this card by Kristina Werner, and was totally in love with it! I used it as my inspiration!



I just loved how she pops off that blue background, even though it's all one layer!

Paper Sweeties November Release Countdown!

Back again for Day 2 of the Paper Sweeties November Release previews! They will be released on the 16th and you'll be able to find them all here! 

Today I sharing the new "Homemade with Love" stamp set AND this comes with a matching die set!

This one is definitely perfect for all you coffee/tea/hot cocoa lovers out there! It comes with a mug, peppermint stick and some other fun accessories.  When I pulled this set out, a hot steaming cup of peppermint mocha popped into my head- so that's what I did!

Paper Sweeties November Release Sneak Peeks!

It's that time of the month again for some *sneaky peeks* of the NEW Paper Sweeties November Release stamps & Sweet Cuts!

This month's release is definitely filled with lots of fun and sweetness! Just in time for holidays!

For my first sneak peek for you, I'm sharing "Happy Holidays" this set comes with some great images- I immediately had the idea to create a mini scene...



I stamped the image (that's all ONE stamp!) plus the sentiment, used washi tape to mask off the space around it, with various shades of blue distress inks went to town creating a night sky, and added tiny white dots using my gel pen for 'snow.'

I decided to used this sweet Wryn Grow a Little Love image. This week marks 2 years since my grandma has been gone. I love and miss her dearly... She loved fresh flowers and roses were her favorite!

Yesterday was my sweet niece's SIXTH birthday!

She is all about rainbows and her favorite color is orange... she might even have a little tomboy in her! ;) I needed a birthday card to give her and decided on this cutie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps- she looks just like her!



Of course I had to incorporate a rainbow of washi tape! The sentiment is from parts of Lawn Fawn & Winnie & Walter.

Feeling a little Fall-ish!

Just popping in again quick to share another card I made for this week's Fabby Friday over at Tiddly Inks!

We're somewhat getting into some cooler temps here in AZ which gets me super excited! & what a better image to get me in the Fall-ish mood than Wryn in the Fall!



I'm totally loving this raspberry color combo right now too! (psst.. it's RV66 & RV69) With the exception of some sparkly sequins this card is completely ONE layer!

It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm! This week's challenge is "Thankful"

I decided to pull out this older Oliver & Amelia set, My Favorite Things- this lil Amelia is just too sweet and I thought she would just be perfect for the sentiment I wanted to use!



I kept my card pretty simple since I used so many colors on my image, I think it makes her pop off the card (even though she's literally popped off the card with dimensional tape! LOL) even more!
