This week on the Hero Arts blogs, 5 fabulous stampers are being featured after being chosen by the HA artists for a "Day on the Blog". The challenge that went along with it was to create something that is inspired by these guest bloggers.
First off there was Kelly Booth, she was paired up with Sally Traidman. Kelly has put her own trademark on using owls on her fabulous cards. I took my inspiration from this card here, for the layout- and added my own twist and style and came up with this:
Supplies: ClearDesign Asian Elements, Long Branch (Hero Arts), Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Swiss Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Prima flowers, gems, Copic markers
I also was inspired by this one that she created for her day on the blog, I love how the stamped circle was spotlighted with the scalloped circle in the center matched the background.
Supplies: DesignBlock Birthday, ClearDesign Cupcakes (Hero Arts), Scalloped Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Scallop border punch (Stampin' Up!), Gems, Buttons, Copic Markers
Next up on the blog was Sarah Moerman and Shari Carroll. She makes cards and scrapbook pages that I drool over.... She had this one in her photostream, which was perfect because i also needed a birthday card for my husband!
Supplies: DesignBlock Birthday, SparkleClear Live it Up, ClearDesign Birthday Messages (all Hero Arts), String, buttons, gems
Kryssi Ng was up next with Lisa Spangler- Her fabulous style is simple yet totally gorgeous! I used her "go to" colors of brown, aqua blue, & red (and of course a doll!)
Supplies: Four Dolls, All Occasion Messages, gems (all Hero Arts), felt lace (from Michaels, Recollections), Flower punches (EKSuccess), Scallop Border punch (Stampin' Up!), Copic Markers
Kiara Lee and Nancy Taylor were paired together on Thursday! Kiara has a simply elegant style with her cards, and I was inspired by this card here, I loved her combination of kraft paper and beautiful bright colored papers!
Supplies: Four Dolls, Thoughtful Messages (both Hero Arts), Paper flower (Making Memories), Scallop border punch (Stampin' Up!), Swiss Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Gems, buttons, Copic Markers
Last but certainly not least, Deborah Nolan and Jennifer McGuire! All I can say when I saw Deborah's cards for the blog was AMAZING! If you missed it, check it out here. I used the sketch and color pallette she put together for this card:
Supplies: So Sweet (Hero Arts), Lemon Tart dots patterned paper (Lasting Impressions), Glossy Accents (Ranger Industries), Copic Markers
Its been a productive week if I do say so myself! Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy Design Team Call
I came across a posting for a design team call for Whimsy Stamps, I knew that it was an opportunity that I just couldn't pass up!
Whimsical animals are definitely my cup of tea! But since I don't have any Whimsy brand stamps (yet) I immediately turned to this adorable teddy bear stamp from Penny Black!
(You can click each of the pictures to see them bigger)
Supplies: Straw-hat Bear (Penny Black), All Occasion Messages (Hero Arts), Scalloped Square Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Scallop Border punch (Stampin' Up!), Copics, Stickles (Ranger Industries), buttons (La Mode), ribbon (Unknown- from Michaels)
Thanks for stopping by!

Let's be friends!
It was friendship week this week over on the Hero Arts blog, I couldn't help but to play along! I am just loving my Copic markers and have been using them on everything I've been making lately- still trying to get the hang of them!
What's a friendship cards with out the cute dolls? I couldn't resist using these two on a card together:
Supplies: Four Dolls; Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts), Floral Screen & Bloom Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Making Memories patterned paper, gems, Copics
I also wanted to do something along the "pretty" line instead of just cutesy ones, here I used my markers to color directly on the stamp, then without re-coloring, offset the stamp just a slight bit to create the shadow look- you can see it in the close up picture.
Supplies: CardArt Happy Wishes; Tree, Bird & Messages (Hero Arts), Textile embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Making Memories patterned paper, gems, Copics
Another one using some pretty flowers! I wanted to incorporate the embossing folder as more than just the background on this one. I gave the flowers some extra dimension with pop-dots and also rolled some glue dots up under the wings of the butterfly to give them a rounded look too:
Supplies: Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts), Square scallop nestabilities (Spellbinders), Stylized Flowers embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), pearls, Copics, Stickles
Thanks for stopping by & hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

And finally, this isn't for any challenge- I was just digging around in my ever-growing stash of stamps where I more often-than-not forget I have certain ones! I'm sure I picked this one up on sale at some point- these 2 bunnies were just dying to be inked! So going along with the friendship theme, I made this!
Supplies: Daisy Bunnies (Penny Black), Whoo Loves You? (Hero Arts), Stickles, buttons, Copics

Penny Black Saturday Challenge!
Another new challenge for me tonight! My sister convinced me to participate in the Penny Black Saturday Challenge :) It was a sketch challenge, and quite a challenge since I don't normally use many layers of paper on my cards. But I am really pleased with the way it turned out!
This was the sketch we had to work with:
And here is the card I came up with- I just love all their hedgehogs, they are just so SUPER cute!
Here's another picture so you can get an idea of the 3-dimensional rose & balloon
Supplies: Long Kiss! (Penny Black), Perfectly Paisly embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Making Memories patterned paper, Copics, Prisma flowers
I've got a few more cards up my sleeve, but that will have to wait until I can get a better picture during the daylight!
Until next time- Happy Stamping!

Favorites & some cakes!
Had to squeeze in just one more post before the night/weekend was over! This week over at Hero Arts- we were to use our favorites, even before I owned this Four Dolls set it became an immediate favorite! I just can't get enough of them- they are just so SUPER cute!
I had this idea of making them more 3-dimensional last night (as I was drifting off to sleep- can we say I'm addicted?) I had some time this afternoon to actually play with the idea and this is was my result:
Supplies: Four Dolls, Asian Elements, Thoughtful Messages (all Hero Arts), Floral Screen embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Sakura flower punch, Stickles, Copics
A few weeks back was the birthday challenge- I didn't have the chance til tonight to post the few I made for that one here, so I'm doing it now! Also wanted to add a big WOOHOO to my sister for winning the "Fresh Face" in that challenge with this card! (Check out her blog here too!)
Again, the first one is using one of the adorable dolls set :)
Supplies: Four Dolls, DesignBlock Birthday, Sweet Moments (Hero Arts), Circle punch, Scallop circle nestabilities (Spellbinders), gems, Copics
Using another one of the stamped images I borrowed from my sister, I made this card with a row of yummy cakes!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Ok- so I'm a day late but better late than never right?
Here are a couple of Valentine's that I made this year.
This one for my sister- (Gave my other 2 sisters the MFT cards previously posted)
Supplies: Skippin Bee, Sprinklin' Luv (Stampendous), Swiss Dots embosssing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Stickles, buttons, string, ribbon, Copics
This one for my husband:
Supplies: Whoo Loves You? (Hero Arts), Oval & Scallop Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Heart gems (A Muse), ribbon, Copics
Treats for my co-workers, I found this box pattern on Splitcoast and just had to try it, it was SUPER-easy which made the mass production a breeze! They are the perfect size to fit yummy Ghiradelli squares (3 filled or 4 plain):

Random cards
Some miscellaneous cards I've done recently- not for any challenges, just for fun and for occassions that just came up.
This card was totally for fun- I remembered that my sister had stamped out some of these adorable hedgehogs from her collection for me and it was just calling out to be colored!
Supplies: Butterfly Wishes, Salutations (Penny Black); Swiss Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Prima flowers
This card is for a good friend's husband. He works for Home Depot and had ordered cards from me in the past-always using this little guy, thought he looked so much like the Home Depot mascot/logo "Homer".
Supplies: Little Trucks (Stampin' Up!), Wavy Good Thoughts (Hero Arts); Scallop border punch (Stampin' Up!), Scallop circle diecut- (Nestabilities-Spellbinders)
Hopefully I'll be posting a few more things I have in the works (in my head) before the weekend is over!
