Penguin cuties

Hello Friends!

I'm over on the Passionate Paper Creations blog today sharing two cards I made with PPCF Facebook sponsor images by Conie Fong Art!

I'm a sucker for cute critters and in the winter that means sweet adorable penguins... I totally fell in LOVE with these two!

On this card, I used Joy to the World...

Joy Penguin

I colored the penguin with Copic markers and trimmed out the image (I accidentally printed him too close to some other images to use a diecut- oops!). I die cut layers of patterned papers using Creative Basics dies- Fancy Rectangles & Layers and Basic Stitched Flags. I also used the Picnic Quilt embossing folder for some texture on the blue cardstock layer.  Finally tied everything together with a red ribbon before attaching it to my card base.

Copics:
penguin: N3, N5, N7, N9, R01, Y32, Y35
hat/scarf: R17, R37, R46, C0, C1
joy: R14, R17, G02, G05, G07, B24, B26, Y17
snow: B0000, B41

For my second card I used another sweet penguin, Snowy Delivering Presents...

Snowy Delivery

I also colored him in copics, but decided to use a different gray color family than on my first penguin. I kept this card pretty simple since there was so much going on with the stack of presents. The sentiment is pieced together from a couple of Lawn Fawn sets, Baaah Humbug and Toboggan Together. I used the Basic Stitched Flags again and finished it off with the doily behind the flags.

Copics:
penguin: C3, C5, C7, C9, R01, Y32, Y35
hat: B24, B26, B29, C1, C3
mail/bag: E40, E41, G02, G05, G07
presents: B24, B26, BG11, BG13, BG15, G02, G05, G07,
R17, R37, R46, Y17, Y26, Y28

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with one last card before 2017!

Pumpkin Patch Molly

It's FINALLY feeling a little more like fall around here, and by that I mean it's under 100*F!

Awesome timing for the newest challenge over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge... Happy Fall Y'all!

I used the a NEW sweet Molly image, Pumpkin Patch Molly (She's available with another sweet Halloween Molly image too!)

Pumpkin Molly

Isn't she the cutest?! I kept my card nice and simple with just coloring her and die cutting the image using a Mama Elephant Sew Fancy dies- love that it cuts and pierces the stitching all in one! I added the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest stamp set, adhered it using craft foam to some coordinating- fall-ish plaid paper, added a bow & some sequins to pull it all together!

Copics:
skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
hair: C3, 100
pumpkin: YR12, YR14, YR16, YR18, YG17, YG15, YG67
ground: E31, E33, E35
sky/shadow: B000, B00, B01, 0

Hope to see you join in on the fall fun! Check out the details on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog!!

Friendship Perks

Helllooo....

Second post today (whew! It's been a busy week!), but I'm back again to share my final card for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I'm also combining it with The Greeting Farm September Farm Fresh Challenge to use office supplies! I picked up this sweet Mini Remix-Brewtiful set, and just knew I had to do *something* with it! (Edited: and in the time it's taken me to write this post.. I missed the deadline! D'oh!)

Friendship Perks

Using some elements from different stamp sets, I think I pulled off the office supply theme! Colored mini Anya & Ian in copics, fussy cut them and mounted them with foam tape onto the diecut circle, found some coordinating patterned papers and used the coffee cup embossing folder for my background.  I used Schoolhouse Backdrops from Lawn Fawn to create the sentiment strip background, and the sentiment itself is from My Favorite Things' Stay Cool. I had to dig out my notebook edge punch to finish the strip & I added a clip I had in my stash of random embellshments (I think this one was from Stampin' Up).

Copics:
hair: (Anya) C3, 100; (Ian) E23, E25, E27, E29
clothes: (Anya) B12, B14, B16; (Ian) R17, R37, R89, B34, B37, B39
coffee cups: (Anya) R17, R37, R39; (Ian) C1, C3, E31 E33, G05.

Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend!!

Scarecrow Coffee

Happy Saturday!

It's that time of year again... time for another Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

The first day of Fall rolled around a few days ago, and it actually feels like it around here... (aka it's no longer 100*F degrees!)

I got this idea in my head and couldn't let it go til I had it down on a card...

Scarecrow Coffee

I mean... scarecrows need coffee too, right? All that hard work they do guarding the crops and you have to think that they're big pumpkin spice latte fans!

I pulled out this adorable Happy Harvest stamp set and went to town stamping the background with pumpkins- at first I was going to leave them as is in the Versamark ink, but I added a few swipes of copics to add more interest.  Mr. Scarecrow just had to have a big coffee cup and the one from the Love You a Latte set was a perfect fit! After masking the scarecrow, I stamped (& double stamped) a few stalks of corn using the Hero Arts green Ombre ink, die cut it using the Stitched Circle tags, and added a couple of pumpkins to finish off my little fall scene.

Hoping to get a few more cards in for the hop this week!

Copics:
scarecrow face: E13, E31, E35, R20, Y32
clothes: B91, B93, B95, BG13, BG72, BG75
hat: E31, E34, E35; BG13, BG72, BG75
straw: E31, Y35, Y38
pumpkins: YR12, YR14, YR16, YG63, YG67
coffee cup: C1, C3, E40, E41, YR12, YR14

Thanks (a latte) for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

Rainbow Fairy Garden

When I was deciding on which stamps to color for the weekend days of Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring challenge, I remembered seeing Lawnscaping's newest challenge- Rainbow!

I thought the Fairy Friends set would be perfect!

Magical (rainbow) Fairy Garden

I did a combination of masking of the house and flowers to make my little scene. I colored flowers the colors of the rainbow with golden centers. I added the fairy friends that I actually colored from the previous 30 Day Coloring Challenge, and covered the wings and petals in sparkle using my favorite Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen (in clear)!

Here's a better photo of the sparkle...

Also adding this to Virginia's Summer All About Colors Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by... Enjoy your Sunday!

Bubbles in my Tea

Hello! It's *ALMOST* Friday- woot woot!

I knew I couldn't let the week finish off without ONE more card for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

This time I decided to go cutesy and color up this sweet Frappi Anya from The Greeting Farm! So *technically* she's drinking a frappi, but I added some little bubbles (aka boba) to her drink to make the sentiment by My Favorite Things work...

Let's Coffee!

Who couldn't use a nice tall glass of iced coffee to start their Monday off? Especially when it's the first day of Summer too!

I made another card for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop...

This time I used Coffee Town from Sweet Stamp Shop!
Let's Coffee

For the background, I stamped the "COFFEE" stamp in versamark ink on Kraft cardstock after drawing lines in pencil to keep things straight!  I die cut the stitched circle- it's the largest tag from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Circle Tag dies, I just trimmed off the hanging tab. I stamped the same 'COFFEE' sentiment and added the iced coffee cup Cuppa Coffee (also Sweet Stamp Shop) colored, with copics, an ombre effect to look make it actually look like coffee and topped it off with some glossy accents. (The 'lets' is from It's Your Day stamp set by Hero Arts.) Finished off my card by adding some white faux stitching after mounting everything together and called my card done!

Thanks for stopping by! Planning to get some more (at least one more) coffee card in during my kids' naptime today! :)

Just *Swimming* Hello!

Hello there..Happy Sunday!!

Slowly getting back into the crafting groove- I managed to clean off my craft desk this weekend (larger than a 6" square of space!) and squeezed in some time to do some coloring and actually make some cards!

The first one for Lawnscaping Challenge's newest challenge...

SPARKLE IT UP!

Who doesn't love a little sparkle on their cards?  I decided to use some under the sea themed stamps for my card (I *need* to get my hands on that new Mermaid for You set!)  I put together the happy clam from Year Six, with the jelly an starfish from So Jelly to create this little scene...

Just Swimming

I originally had done the whole scene on one layer, but it was too long for me to fit it onto a card layout that I liked, so I carefully trimmed the sandy portion with the clam & starfish to shorten it and popped it up with some foam tape for more dimension.

I colored it all with my trusty copics and THEN covered the entire thing with sparkle using a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen in clear- It was hard to capture the sparkle in my 'usual' spot, so I took my card outside to let the sparkle shine!

Swimming Hello

I made up my own sentiment by stamping the word 'swimming' using Claire's ABCs and added the 'just' & 'hello' from Everyday Sayings by Hero Arts- does it even make sense? It did in my head while I was making it- but now that I think about it... hmm

Thanks for stopping by!

Strumming Hello!

Happy Weekend crafty friends!

My last card certainly got the wheels turning in my brain on what to make for another #craftchella2016 card! Also with the sad tributes for Prince popping up all over, I definitely had music on my mind :(..

While digging through my stash finding stamps to use for my punk rock girl card, I found these two stamp sets and thought they would go perfect together- can you spot them?

Strumming Hello

Figure it out?  I'll give you a hint- I used 2 Lawn Fawn stamp sets for the guitar...
.
.
.

Ok, I used the round pizza from Pizza my Heart for the guitar center and Schoolhouse Backdrops for the frets and the guitar neck!

I also used circle die cuts as a guide for the guitar body shape. Colored with my trusty copics, I pieced the sentiment using Hero Arts (All Occasion Messages, Thoughtful Messages) and Sweet Stamp Shop's Lower Script.

#craftchella2016 was so much fun- great way to STRETCH your stamps and to use them in more ways! Thanks for the inspiration Sandy!

Rock 'N Roll!!

Hello!

A few days ago Sandy Allnock was on Periscope and announced this AWESOME challenge...

#CRAFTCHELLA2016!
It's inspired by the Coachella music & art festival that is going on right now in California.

The idea behind the challenge is to create a music inspired card... but with a twist- stretch your stamps to use them in a musical way!

It took me a few days to come up with an idea... but I decided to use a few new stamps that I haven't inked up yet! I thought the girl from Avery Elle's Skating By looked like a punk rocker, minus the roller skates (although, she could probably rock with the skates too!)

Rock 'N Roll!

Can you spot the other stamps I used??
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

The guitar is actually one of the birds from WPlus9's Happy Birds!  Who would have thought the first time I'd use a bird- it'd be as a guitar! LOL!  The sentiment is also pieced together with stamps from Lawn Fawn- 'I like the way you... roll' is from Let's Roll (a sushi set!), 'r-o-c-k' and the letter 'n' are from the letter sets quinn's abcs and Claire's ABCs!

I colored the images with copics and added a layer of sparkle using a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen in clear to anything I could- you're not a rock star without some glitter, right?

Warm (Sunflower) Wishes

Hello!

It's been a little while since my last post (sorry!)... we had my daughter's first birthday party last weekend and with all the prep work (and recovery) and my son's birthday around the corner- my crafty mojo has decided to go on vacation.

Although I did manage to make one card this week! I originally had the idea for my card for Lawnscaping's Beautiful Florals challenge... but by the time I had it finished, photographed & edited it I missed the deadline! OOPS!

Luckily, I also created it for a new-to-me challenge blog- Share Joy Challenge! It's a weekly sketch challenge with a twist- you can choose to follow the sketch, the inspiration challenge, or BOTH! I always love a good sketch, but this week I decided to go with the tic-tac-toe challenge...

I chose the left most column- ombre, flowers, & yellow.

Warm (sunflower) Wishes

I stamped the largest sunflower from Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest in Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Using 3 shades of yellow Distress Inks (squeezed lemonade, mustard seed & wild honey) I blended them over the sunflower background to produce the ombre look. The sentiment is from Baaah Humbug (with the 'winter' word omitted) ! I love finding ways to use seasonal stamps all year long! Although, since it's almost summer time here in Arizona... my sunflowers are *almost* blooming!

And since it's taken me 3 days to write this post- I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge- Let's Polka!

Thanks for stopping by.. hoping to find my mojo this weekend!

My Lucky Charm

Happy Wednesday!

I thought before I started getting into Easter cards, I should make at *least* one St. Patty's Day card, right?

Just in time too- I'm playing along with 2 challenges today- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- Bit O' Green and Lawnscaping  Challenges- Color Splash!

I used the My Lucky Charm set from Lawn Fawn for this cute & fun St. Patty's Day-ish card!

Lucky Charm

I stamped, white heat embossed, and copic colored the 4 leaf clover randomly for the background piece. I stamped another clover and colored it in slightly darker shades of greens and COVERED it in Wink of Stella sparkle! I finished it off by mounting it to the embossed background (my favorite polka dot embossing folder right now- can you tell?) and added the sentiment.

That's it for me today... thanks for stopping by!

All I want is...

EWE!

Back again with another Valentine card this week! Was catching up on my blog reading and video/periscope watching that made me feel a bit inspired and crafty!

I knew I wanted to join in on the newest Lawnscaping Challenge- WATERCOLOR!

I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but it was a matter of digging through my Lawn Fawn stash to figure out what to use. Since my holiday craft time was a limited (sick hubs & kiddies...boo!), I had to come up with a way to use the Baaah Humbug set other than for Christmas... I just love these little sheep!

All I want is EWE

I kept my card simple and used a few Distress Ink colors for my background (Spun Sugar, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry) as well as the lil sheep too! (Pumice Stone, Tattered Rose) I masked off and stamped the sentiments from the set to make my own cute cheeky one- they were, "all I want for" and "Christmas is ewe."  Finally I added a few Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins, used a few layers of foam tape to add some dimension and mounted it all on the embossed card base.

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Create with Critters!

Thanks for stopping by,,, I hope ewe all have a fabulous Friday and weekend! (& hoping those on the East coast stay warm and safe!

Feeling FALLish!

Hello!

I recently got my hands on the new Happy Harvest stamp from Lawn Fawn and couldn't WAIT to get it inked up! I actually made this card last week, but haven't had the chance to blog til now!

I had some fun with this set! I absolutely LOVE that scarecrow! I had colored him right when I received this set as apart of Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge, (you may have see it on Instagram) I wanted to create a fun background using the other stamps... and this is what I came up with! I also used the Stitched Circle Tags die but just trimmed off the little hanger part.

Feeling Fallish

We visited a  pumpkin patch over the weekend too- so I'm feeling very fall-ish even if our weather doesn't say so! (we're still in the upper 80's here!)

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with the newest Tiddly Inks challenge!

Cacti Wishes

Hello!

Surprisingly, I was able to get some crafty time this weekend- doesn't usually happen often on the weekends!

Again, I was able to use an image I colored a few days ago (from Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Color Challenge) and put it on a card!

For those of you that don't know- I live in sunny Arizona, in a desert, so when Hero Arts came out with this cactus stamp set I knew I had to have it! AND then they came out with a holiday version with cacti decked out in Christmas lights! Since I haven't been able to get my hands on it (yet), I decided to create my own Christmas cacti!

Warmest Wishes

I stamped the cacti in green distress inks and colored with copics, I used the string of lights from Lawn Fawn's Baah Humbug to make them 'festive'! I'm pretty happy with how this turned out... can't wait to decorate some more! ;)

I'm entering this card into the Hero Art's October Holiday Cardmaking challenge!

Thanks for stopping by... will be back soon to share more cards!

Halloween Bunny

Can you believe that Halloween is in 2 weeks?!?  Are you all ready?

I colored this cute bunny from Lawn Fawn's Critters in Costume set the other day for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge (hosted by the fabulous Kathy Racoosin!) and just had to get him on a card! I put it together with the CAS(E) this Sketch #145 challenge

and came up with this...

Halloween Bunny

I always forget to pull out my lighter ink to do more no-line coloring, but I remembered the other day! The little bunny is stamped in Antique Linen and colored in copics. I also felt like getting inky since I had my distress inks out, the background is blended with Seedless Preserves, Broken China & Mowed Lawn. And the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Happy Friday!

Love you a LATTE!

I couldn't let the weekend go by without making *another* coffee themed card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I had this idea pop in my head late (always late) last night and could finally put the finishing touches on it this morning!

I think this one shouts a little more fall... (now, if only the weather would get the hint!)

Love you a LATTE

I stamped the mug from Simon Says Stamp's What's Brewing?, randomly stamped some "falling" leaves (from Lawn Fawn)- colored with copics and topped with some Wink of Stella. I ink splattered my white cardbase with various Distress Inks, layered a woodgrain embossed piece with a kraft doily and thought it was still missing something... so out came the gold paper and love diecut from Winnie & Walter!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cream in my Coffee

Woohoo!  Happy Friday and Happy Fall Coffee Lover's blog hop day!

I have a few cards in mind for the hop, but this is the first one I've been able to finish so far. I used this sweet Cocoa Wishes (but made her cocoa into coffee!) from Tiddly Inks, so cute & definitely one of my favorite Tiddly images!

Oh, and since it's not *that* cold here... we're still hanging onto 100 degree weather (yuck) so I colored her ear muffs into headphones... she's enjoying her cup of joe while listening to some tunes! :) But I did incorporate some fun fall-ish colors!

Cream to my coffee

I stamped the background with stamps from Lawn Fawn (Love You a Latte), and the sentiment is one from Hero Arts (Need Caffeine), I had just masked and stacked it instead of leaving it long.

Have a fabulous weekend! & happy hopping!

Owl Always Love You ♥

When I was playing around with my stamps trying to come up with something for the Lawnscaping Texture Challenge...

I had an idea that came together better in my head than on actual paper! I came up with my first card here instead. I had some time today while the my kiddies nap to make my original idea come to surface! Since I still had Critters in the Forest out on my desk, I came up with this...

Owl Always Love You

If you *really* want to know- here is what I did to make it...
- Embossed the card base using wood grain embossing folder
- Masked a small circle on white card stock, stamped Woodgrain Backdrops (& also on some kraft)
- Stamped the owl in the circle, colored him with Copics and die cut the larger circle.
- Mounted the circle like a 'spotlight on top of the kraft wood grain 'tree',

But then couldn't come up with a sentiment! After flipping through my stamps I decided to piece together my own!
The "owl" is from Winter Owl, the "always" was stamped from Claire's ABCs, and finally the "Love You" is from Love You Tons!

Thanks for reading THIS far!

Foxy!

Popping in to share a card I created for the newest Lawnscaping Challenge: TEXTURE!

In case you haven't noticed I'm totally obsessed with cute critters... especially foxes! Since fall is *just* around the corner, it makes me want to pull out all the cute woodland critters in my stash.  It's been awhile since I inked up the fox from the Critters in the Forest set- so this was a perfect time!

I also happened to make a stop at Target the other day, and found this awesome burlap ribbon in their dollar spot- it was meant to be!

Hey Foxy

I love all the dimension just the little strip of burlap gives! I also added some diecut felt clouds to soften up the image too. It's hard to see, but I added glossy accents to the mushrooms & the foxy is popped up an extra layer too.

Thanks for stopping by today- hoping to squeeze in some more crafty time today while the kiddies nap & the hubs is in football land! (anyone else *not* a football fan? LOL)
