Mojo Sketch #68

I am finally caught up with all my posts from the holidays!

It's been a while since I participated in a Mojo Monday sketch challenge from the new Mojo Monday blog! When I saw the sketch I knew exactly what I wanted to do- My longest friend is getting married next weekend and I need a card for the wedding. (Hopefully she's too busy right now to be reading this!!)

I decided to use one of my new sets I received for Christmas (thanks Megan!)

(The sketch)

and here is my card, I went a little crazy with the stickles- I outlined the veil, dress and the prima flowers, but I think it added the perfect amount of sparkle :)!

Supplies: To Have and to Hold (Stampin' Up!), Special Day (Inkadinkado), Scalloped Square & Oval diecuts (Nestabilities-Spellbinders), Stickles

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2009- Hope you all brought in the new year with a bang!

Two posts tonight, be sure to scroll down to see my entry for Taylor's cupcake challenge too!

I've got a few more cards to catch up on posting here since my last post- I had the chance to go to a few of my local stamp/scrapbook stores (LSS) to spend some of my Xmas money (burning a hole in my wallet) and picked up a few new 'toys'!

First is this cute little fox.. just had to break him in with a little ink and created this, see his bushy little tail- flocking is so much fun!:

Supplies: Foxy (Imaginisce), Long Border Messages (Hero Arts), Scallop Square diecut (Nestabilities-Spellbinders), White flocking (Stampendous)

New Year's Eve was a double celebration for our family- we also threw a party for my niece's 8th birthday party before they went home. Her birthday was actually yesterday- she's our purple princess! (Notice more flocking on the belly!)

Supplies: Critter Party (Penny Black), Birthday Messages (Hero Arts), Scallop square diecut (Nestabilities-Spellbinders), White flocking (Stampendous), Stickles

Finally last week, I had a little bit of time to squeeze in some more cards for the Hero Arts sketch challenge. Here is the sketch for this card:

Supplies: Sweet Moments (Hero Arts), Scallop border punch (Stampin' Up!), Stickles

and the sketch for this one:

Supplies: Cupcakes & DesignBlock Birthday (Hero Arts)

Another great sketch from Taylor's cupcake challenge this weekend - I found this set at my local stamp store and just had to have it (with a little nudge from the store owner :)! ) and was a "perfect" set to practice the new COPIC markers I got from my hubby for Christmas!

Anyway, here is the sketch, and here is my card:

And a closer look at each of the yummy cupcakes:

Holiday Catch Up!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!

(WARNING: Long post ahead!)

I thought I take the time to catch up on some things that I've been working on recently. Haven't had much time preparing for the holidays to update my blog as frequently as I like to. The past month has kept me busy with a few birthdays and finishing up my Christmas cards that I had posted a while back. But enough with the chit chat- here are the cards:

First off, one of my nieces had a birthday right before Thanksgiving- she's all about the Disney Princesses and even dressed up as one for Halloween so I knew exactly what I had to do!

Supplies: Snow White & Pretty as a Princess (EK Success), Bloom Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft)

Another niece a few weeks later turned the big 1-0!

Supplies: Straw Hat Bear (Penny Black), Birthday Messages (Hero Arts)

A good friend turned 30! (Sorry for the blurry picture- it was a quick shot before we went out to her party!)

Supplies: Cat on the Moon (Penny Black), Happy Birthday embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft)

On to the Christmas-related cards. A few weeks back Hero Arts had a last-minute gift challenge these are a few that I entered and some others I did as I needed them!

Supplies: Let it Snow; Holiday Gift Tags (Hero Arts), Merriest...(Penny Black),

This one opens up with a pocket inside to slide a gift card into.

Supplies: Let it Snow (Hero Arts), Snowflakes embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft)

Supplies: Let it Snow (Hero Arts)

Supplies: Christmas Characters (Inkadinkado), Heard from the Heart (Stampin' Up!), Snowflakes embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft)

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas holiday!

One Sketch- 2 Snowmen

Hi all- hope everyone had a fun, turkey-filled Thanksgiving!

Since it was a nice LONG weekend, it made for some good crafting time. Didn't get as much as I would have liked- but the night isn't over yet! I did find some time to squeeze in a card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge (#44):

Supplies: Christmas Characters (Inkadinkado), Scallop Circle die (Nestabilities- Spellbinders), Ticket corner punch (Stampin' Up!), Snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Stickles (Ranger Industries)

Using the same sketch, I also used it for the Hero Arts challenge last week for the "last minute gifts" theme. I found these cute boxes at Borders Bookstore in the clearance section, they're the size to hold a CD. I covered it with blue cardstock, added some stamping and came up with this:

Supplies: Let it Snow (Hero Arts), Snowflakes (Inkadinkado), Scallop Circle die (Nestabilities-Spellbinders), Versamark Dazzle Frost ink (Tsukineko)

Thanks for stopping in!

Green with Daisies!

I'm still working on my Christmas cards... getting a pretty good head start on them too!

Yesterday was my sister's birthday, had to wait for her to recieve the card before I could post it here since I know she checks this page (Happy Birthday!)

Supplies: Upsy Daisy (Stampin' Up!), Bird & Swirls embossing folder (Cuttlebug- Provocraft), Making Memories Patterned Paper

(I stamped the image first with my stamp normally, and again without re-inking to create the shadow. The stamped image circle is also slighted raised of the card with pop dots.)

That's all I have for now- Hope everyone has an absolutely wonderful Turkey-filled Thanksgiving tomorrow!!
