Succulent Garden Gnome

After my post the other day for my Magical Rainbow Fairy Garden, an idea popped in my head that highlights 2 of my favorites... garden gnomes and succulents! (Now if only the weather outside would cooperate so I could actually enjoy some time in my garden...)

Anyway, I created this little scene with a proud little gnome showing off his cacti & succulent garden with a little help from My Favorite Things stamp sets- You Gnome Me Sweet Succulents!

I put my card together using Sketch 290 at My Favorite Things Card Challenge...

Succulent Garden Gnome

This scene was so fun to put together- lots of masking and copic coloring! I mounted my colored image on a kraft card stock based that I stamped using the woodgrain background stamp, and added pieces of patterned paper & washi to match the sketch.

Rainbow Fairy Garden

When I was deciding on which stamps to color for the weekend days of Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring challenge, I remembered seeing Lawnscaping's newest challenge- Rainbow!

I thought the Fairy Friends set would be perfect!

Magical (rainbow) Fairy Garden

I did a combination of masking of the house and flowers to make my little scene. I colored flowers the colors of the rainbow with golden centers. I added the fairy friends that I actually colored from the previous 30 Day Coloring Challenge, and covered the wings and petals in sparkle using my favorite Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen (in clear)!

Here's a better photo of the sparkle...

Also adding this to Virginia's Summer All About Colors Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by... Enjoy your Sunday!

This sweet girl is called, Summer Fairy- she is a ton of fun to color too!

Magical day

As with any fairy, her magical wings are covered in sparkle from a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen... Here's a slightly better look...

Let's Chill

Tiddly Ink Tuesday Time!

We're totally in the middle of the summer heat here in AZ! Ugh! So this challenge is just in time... SUMMER SUN!

Here's how I want to be spending the rest of my summer...

Let's Chill

Floating in the pool with a nice cool drink in hand! Wryn Floating Along knows how to keep cool!

While coloring her (with Copics) I decided that her floatable needed to look like a doughnut- with sprinkles of course- since I've been seeing them all over the stores and online! LOL! I masked off a large circle to trace and create the sun, I finished it paired a few pieces of patterned paper and mounted it on an embossed card base.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog for all the details on how to play along!

Mermaid Wishes

Back again!

AND with some news to share! I was asked by (the fabulous) Rhea to join the Passionate Paper Creations & Friends Facebook group design team! It's such an awesome place for inspiration, finding crafty friends and sharing!

For my first DT card, we're having some fun with a Sponsored weekend with Make it Crafty images! (They're running a sale through the weekend too! Be sure to join Facebook group to see what it is... *wink wink*) I've admired these images for awhile and was excited to finally get my hands on my first, think this is the beginning of a lonngg obsession...

One of the special sales this weekend, Siren of Pearls, is available for $1! yes ONE DOLLAR!!! I had so much fun coloring her, and if you follow me on Instagram you could say I've been on a bit of a mermaid kick lately...

Mermaid Wishes

Isn't she just FABULOUS?! All that hair... and I think I finally have narrowed down a combination the tail that I like. (I'll include my combinations for those of you interested at the end of this post.) More doily love on this card as well as another Stitched Flag die from Creative Basics/LDRS!

I also covered the tail and some of the accents in sparkle with a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen, hard to tell in the photo above so here's another shot...

Molly Floats

Happy Friday peeps!

I'm so glad the weekend is *finally* here!

Popping in to share a card I made with another new Molly image from Tiddly Inks.... Molly Floats!

HBD Molly

I colored sweet Molly with copics (of course) and covered the balloons in glossy accents. It's a bit hard to see, but I stamped the background piece in Versamark with a Hero Arts background stamp (design block-Special Day Words), the flag banner is from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, Creative Basics, and the colored dots my DIY enamel dots (aka melted perler beads).

Thanks for stopping by... I'll be back shortly with another post!

You're the Best!

It's Tiddly Inks Tuesday!
Which means it's time for a new challenge! This week we're challenging you to MAKE IT POP!

I decided to challenge myself to make a side-step card... I've seen them all over blogland and really wanted to try one for myself! It took a couple of tries (it was late night!) but once I got all the measurements and score lines right- it was easy peasy!

You're the Best

I used one of the newest images to the shop Molly Shares, colored (with copics of course!), fussy cut her out and added her on foam tape to the tall side of the step card. I die cut 3 circles and stamped the sentiment (from Mama Elephant) to add some fun pop ups to each of the "steps."

I hope to see you join us on this fun MAKE IT POP challenge!

Hello! & Happy 4th of July - Independence Day for those of you in the U.S.!

Popping in quick to share a card I made for the new July challenge over at The Greeting Farm: H2O LOVE!

I gave Summer Ian & Addy some patriotic swimsuits! Love these sweet digis- they are so cute!

Happy 4th!

Found some water waves patterned paper scraps in my stash, added some blue glittery washi tape, and the happy die is from Winnie & Walter and called it done!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a fun & safe holiday!
