Caught up! 2-ways Challenge

Wow! I think this actually means I am finally caught up with all the past challenges on Hero Arts- perhaps now I can post some of the other cards non-Hero Arts challenge related! During that little break, I also invested in the greatest little gadget ever- the CUTTLEBUG. Let me tell you it is so much fun! (I even did a bit of enabling and 'made' my sister and Megan invest in one too!) So you'll see all these cards also have some Cuttlebug embossing going on :).

Anyway, I skipped on week's challenge, and couldn't wait to participate in this one. It was quiet fun! The challenge was to use a single stamp 2ways:

Here I used the Dot Filament stamp as leaves of the Hibiscus, and on its own with punched flowers and beads:
Stamps: Dot Filament (Hero Arts); Hibiscus Style (Hero Arts) Cuttlebug Embossing folders: Bloom Dots, Spots & Dots

Here is the Hand Drawn Floret used 2 ways, on its own as a single flower- then I cut out just the flower three times and pieced it together as one:

Stamps: Hand Drawn Floret (Hero Arts); ClearDesign Thank you Messages (Hero Arts); Flourish Flower (Hero Arts) Cuttlebug Embossing Folders: Bloom Dots

And one last one I did, I used the double hearts obviously as hearts- then flipped it upside-down and made ladybugs!:

Stamps: SparkleClear Cute Letters (Hero Arts); Lots of Hugs (Hero Arts); Heart Couple (Hamptom Arts)
Cuttlebug Embossing folders: Floral Fantasy

Gift wrap challenge

One more past Hero Arts challenge I participated in, but forgot to post here. The Gift wrap challenge:

This was one (of many) left over favor boxes from my wedding. I decided to pretty it up with some flowers and a border stamp around the edges.

Stamps: Floral Borders (Hero Arts); ClearDesign Wishful Messages (Hero Arts)
(A stamp was also used for the flowers, it was made by Stamp-a-mania. The instructions for the how to are no longer on their web. However, I will try to 'recreate' them when I get the chance!)

For this one, it's a trifold card that you can insert a gift card into the inside pocket.

Stamps: ClearDesign Cupcakes (Hero Arts); DesignBlock Birthday (Hero Arts); ClearDesign Birthday Messages (Hero Arts)

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #21

I discovered this blog by way of my sister and PaperTrey Ink. Every Friday "Taylored Expressions" holds Cupcake Friday Challenges. http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/

It doesn't necessarily have to have a cupcake, but as she says on her site, "You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!?" And it just gives me another reason to use the Hero Arts Clear Design Cupcake set!

For the most recent Cupcake Challenge, this is what I came up with:

It was fun making this card, with have a sketch already planned, it makes it a bit easier to put the card together. I look forward to entering more of her challenges.

Thanks Taylor!

Father's Day

After the Stampin' Up class- I made my own version of the wallet card, and another card to decide between to give my dad..

and this one:

I ended up picking the wallet one- and each one of my sisters and I signed a 'credit card' that's inserted in each of the pockets. Jason & I went to a house-warming party for some good friends of ours on Saturday night, and I made this card for them:
