Cookies & Minis!

Happy Halloween!!

I decided to make some cookies and bring them into work for Halloween. I had found these clear cellophane bags a while back and was looking for a reason to use them, they were WAY too boring by themselves- so what better way to make them more festive than with stamps!

I don't usually make Halloween cards, and other than those pumpkins from the previous post I don't have anything Halloween-themed. Luckily, Megan had a set I could borrow- and I think I got some pretty good use out of it!

Supplies: Chocolate Chip Cookies!; ClearDesign Happy Halloween (Hero Arts)

And now on to another upcoming holiday, Christmas! When I first bought this set, I wanted to do something with all the cute animals. I wasn't quite ready to stamp anything Christmas related just yet since it's still been around 100 degrees here! But these little guys were calling to me and I had to make some mini cards in time for this week's challenge over on Hero Arts.

Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas (Hero Arts); Snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft)

That's it for now- thanks for stopping by!

TECC #39

A quick post for the cupcake challenge only without the cupcakes- but how about some pumpkins instead? I've been on a Halloween mood this last week, and picked up a few "can't live without these" cute Halloween stamps- and just had to use them for the sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch, and my card:

Supplies: Jack-o-Lantern (Stampendous); ClearDesign Happy Halloween (Hero Arts); Inkssentials Glossy Accents (Ranger)

More Halloween cards to come!

As you can tell I had quite the productive week as far as card-making goes, maybe not so much in other things ;)

Why not end it with a card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge & a few others! I hadn't participated in a TECC in awhile, but when I saw this sketch I just knew the cupcake chef was a perfect fit!

Here's a close up of the the chef & those yummy cupcakes!

Pretty Papers!

Patterns! Patterns! Patterns! Patterned papers are one thing that I have tons of but I always FORGET to use when I'm making cards. I usually save them for my scrapbook pages. So I've been doing better and pulling them out to use & and what a better week for me to do so then when Hero Arts makes patterned paper the theme for this week's challenges!

Here are a few cards I've done in the past week or so...

Supplies: ClearDesign Asian Elements (Hero Arts); Salutations (Penny Black); Swiss Dots embossing folder (Provocraft-Cuttlebug), Stickles, Gems, Heidi Grace "Cherrywood Lane" patterned paper

Supplies: Solid Flowers Flourish (Hero Arts); Scalloped Circles die-cut (Spellbinders- Nestabilities); Making Memories patterned paper

Supplies: ClearDesign Playful Animals (Hero Arts); Floral Screen embossing paper (Provocraft-Cuttlebug); DCVW patterned paper

These last two card weren't apart of the cards I submitted for the Hero Arts Challenge, but still some that fit the mold of patterned paper.

Supplies: A Little Bit of Happiness (Stampin' Up!); Perfectly Paisley embossing folder (Provocraft-Cuttlebug); DCWV patterned paper (I think!)

As Always, Thanks for taking a peek in my crafty creations!

A little squirrel-y

Blog hopping is an excellent way to search for great "new-to-me" ideas! This is where I found this fabulous version of a spinner card on Dawn's page, it's a twist on the standard spinner that goes across your card in a straight line. Why I never thought to try this before is beyond me, always coming up with great ideas after someone else already has! Alright, onto the card, the spinner (i.e. the squirrel) runs along the top portion of the tree.

Just a quick post today- thanks for stopping by!

(Post)-World Card Making Day

I really have no theme for these cards, just a few that I've done in the past week or so. This past Saturday was World Card Making Day, unfortunately I didn't have much time to participate as I would have liked. Did get the chance to check around a few blogs here and there and found some great ideas.

First I'll share a card I made for my mom, no rhyme or reason, but just because she's awesome, and I thought this stamp was so cute!

Supplies: What a Day! (Penny Black); Floral Screen embossing folder (Provocraft-Cuttlebug); Circle Scallop Nestabilities (Spellbinders)

This next card was for my sister, she starts her new job this week! How better to start off a new job than with some coffee? I found the patterned paper at a 'new to me' local scrapbook store, and thought of this card, I also included a gift card to Starbucks in it

Supplies: Sparkle Clear Coffee (Hero Arts): Ticket Corner Punch (Stampin' Up!); Circle Scallop Nestabilities (Spellbinders)

Another sister inspired this card- (she's quite crafty herself) had some too cute not to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) cards, here is my version of one:

Supplies: Blossoms (Imaginisce); Floral Screen embossing folder (Provocraft-Cuttlebug)

A few weekends ago, Jason & I were up in Colorado visiting his sister and family. We hit up a few garage sales in her neighborhood and I picked up this stamp for a steal! I'd been itching to be crafty since we got back (hence all the random cards).

Supplies: Daisy Chain (Penny Black, Inc.)

And finally, I received new stamps I ordered following that Stampin' Up! class from the previous post- I love these sets!

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!- Upsy Daisy, Ticket Corner Punch

As always-Thanks for stopping by!
