Scribble This!

The fabulous Lisa Spangler has a new challenge on her blog "Scribble This" mixing cardmaking with learning new skills in photography!

I have a Nikon camera that has all kinds of settings- but don't know how to use most of them! I was amazed at the differences of white color balance settings and look forward to future lessons! Here is the card I made taken with the different white color balance settings.

Auto:

Custom:

And just for fun I experimented with some of the pre-sets on my camera:
Flourescent:

Incandescent:

Supplies: DesignBlock Stencil, Heart-winged Butterfly (both Hero Arts), Swiss Dots & Script embossing folders (Cuttlebug), Bling flower (Imaginisce), pearl gems

*Edited to add* I had the chance to take a picture of this card outside like I usually do just to add another comparison.

I also wanted to add that this card was inspired by one of my fellow Hero Arts Flickr friends, Donna Mikasa on this card here.

Thanks for stopping in, I will have more to share soon!

  5. Beautiful card, and perfect result with the custom white balance. I love the soft look of the auto setting too, because I would not have known that it should be white IRL :)
