Kawaii Coffee

This might me a new record for me...

I had some extra time to myself this morning to get the final card idea I had in my head down on paper for the Coffee Lovers bloghop...

I discovered this free kawaii coffee coloring page by Kate Hadfield while exploring Instagram one day and bookmarked it to color for this bloghop!

Coffee Time!

Of course I had to color it with in a rainbow combination! Such a fun and cute image, I can't decide which part is my favorite- all the different coffees or the donuts hiding in there... it IS National donut day!!

I didn't add too much to my card, I figured there was enough going on with all the kawaii coffee cups that they should get all the attention!

Sloffee break

Look! I'm back!!

I've been bitten by a crafting bug... maybe it's the coffee, because I'm back to share another card I made for the Spring/summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

Slothee break

I had to get this sweet Sloth-some stamp set when I saw them on Sandy Allnock's blog/Instagram...

After my last card I finally had the chance to color it- I mean how can I not with that face?! I colored with copics (of course), fussy cut out the mug and adhered it to the diecut circle with foam tape. I drew/colored in a table for the mug to sit on.  Put it all together with an embossed background, patterned paper and a bit of baker's twine!

I have one more idea for another card- hoping for some cooperative (*ahem* self-entertaining children) to get it down on paper!

Thanks for stopping by!

Need Coffee?

Hello Coffee Lovers!

I'm back again today with my final card and a guest designer for The Greeting Farm! I couldn't be more honored to be apart of the TGF team again, even if was just for a little bit- LOVE LOVE LOVE their images!!

and it just so happens that this week is also the Coffee Lover's Bloghop!

It's been awhile since I played along and was excited to actually have something made this time around!

Need Coffee?

I had originally planned my card to be clean and simple- but it never works out that way... I most always end up adding layers and stuff! HA! I used this adorable Need Coffee stamp set, and for summer I often think of red, white & blue color combinations so that's what I did here! Paired with some coordinating patterned papers and finished it off with a twine bow (& faux stitching of course!)

School Year-end

Hello!

I'm starting to get used to this blogging thing again!

I'm back again to share a couple of cards I made for my son's teacher and the teacher's aide.  This week is the last week of school for him and he's "graduating" from Kindergarten!

My son had the BEST teachers, he loves school so much and soaks up all the information like a sponge!! Looking forward to see what the next school year brings...

My first card was for his main teacher, from getting to know her through the school year and information from my son- we learned that she enjoyed a local (national?) chain of restaurants that serves flavored soda, Sodalicious.  I immediately had an the idea come to mind for her card...

SODA best!

I had so much fun making this card using the Soda Pop stamp set and coordinating dies from My Favorite Things. I thought it was a perfect fit for Mrs. N and I hope she loves it (and the gift card to the soda shop!) too!

The second card I made for the teacher's aide... I had discovered early on in the year that she *LOVES* garden gnomes- so it was an easy pick on what to put on her card and other gifts throughout the year!

I recently got my hands on this Paper Smooches Forest Whimsy stamp set and I couldn't WAIT to ink and color him up!

I kept the card super simple (because I was short on time) and I wanted to showcase this adorable gnome all by himself!

Gnome One

I paired the image with some stamp altering to create the sentiment using You Gnome Me by My Favorite Things!

Now that summer break is here, I hope that means I'll have more time to be card-crafty again and get back to regular blogging!

Thanks for stopping by!

Beachy-FUN!

Hello!

Is it feeling like summer where you are yet??  It sure is here... we've hit 100*F many times already and its only going to get HOTTER!

For the next card for my guest spot over at The Greeting Farm, I was inspired by one of the newest sets that came out this month, Beach Bums... I can't wait to get my hands on it! But until then I decided to play with another sweet summery image available from the digital shop, Addy!

Have Fun Addy

Hope you're staying cool and have a summer of COOL and fun things ahead!!

You're LOVED

HELLO... again!

I'm here to share my latest card for my guest design spot over at The Greeting Farm!

You're Loved

I used the sweet summery Fun Anya stamp on my card.  I colored her with copics and and fussy cut her to mount on the die cut tag (Stitched Duo 1 by Pretty Pink Posh) that I shaded using coordinating Distress Inks. I layered that on top of the patterned paper, also diecut with another Pretty Pink Posh border die, Stitched Borders 4 onto a kraft card base. Finished it off with a a sprinkle of sequins and white and glitter pens.

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time- have a beautiful day!

HB2U!

HELLLOOOO...... Anyone still out there???

Long time no blog... hope some of you are still out there!  My blog has been on a bit of a hiatus... almost a year since my last post- YIKES!

My card making mojo has been on a slight vacation and is slowly (very slowly) starting to make a come back.  Since my son started school (and a broken computer!), it's been a difficult to find enough me time to sit down to stamp and color like I used to. Not to mention I've recently been "HOOKED" on a new hobby... crocheting! - that's a post for another day...

But, TODAY I am thrilled to be back posting to share that I am the guest designer for the month of May over at The Greeting Farm blog! It felt so great to pick up my copics again!

This week, I'm sharing this fun card I made for my son's 6th (Aack? What? How is he 6?!) birthday that is next Monday! I used the awesome set, Mini-Remix Balloons...

TGF5-1

I fussy cut out the birthday boy and the balloons and layered them with foam tape on coordinating patterned papers. The chair he's sitting on is from an older (retired?) set, Sitting Casual!

Thanks for those of you that have stuck around... I hope to make blogging a regular thing again!

Have a FABULOUS day.... Happy MAY!

Class of 2017!

Happy JULY!

Popping in quick to share this card I made for my oldest niece- she graduated from high school last month!!

I knew this Graduate Wryn image would be perfect...

Class of 2017

I colored her using copic markers  to match her school colors and kept the card pretty simple by die cutting the image using a Mama Elephant die, and mounting it on floral patterned paper because her school's graduation was held in a 'rose garden!'  The sentiment is from a Waffle Flower stamp set. Finished it off with a few sequins and called it done!

Need Coffee??

Hello there!!

Long time no post! I'm steadily starting to get my card makin' mojo back.. it got a little kick start today with the start of the latest Coffee Lovers blog hop!

I couldn't resist the cuteness of this new coffee girl from The Greeting Farm- I knew she would be perfect for this hop!

Need Coffee?

Feels good to make a card again!

I've gotten so hooked (literally!) on crocheting amigurumi critters that it's taken over! It's a post all on its own- but if you're interested, I post more regularly on Instagram @LysaQR!

Thanks for stopping by & happy hopping!

Thanks for all you do!

As promised I'm back to share the second card I made for my niece's teacher for the end of the year!

My niece is moving up to middle school next year (I can't believe it!)- I made her teacher a simple yet pretty card using this Hero Arts Large Flower background (cling) stamp!

Thanks teacher
I stamped the flower image in white ink of kraft card stock and colored with Copic markers- I love the muted tones the kraft paper soesntoncopics, even when using the bright colors! I diecut  a banner flag and added the thanks diecut (Mama Elephant) to keep the card simple, I didn't want too much to take away from the stamped image.  I finished the card with faux stitching and a couple of clear sequins!

I've finally gotten the chance to clean off my craft desk so here's hoping for more cards in the near future!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Super teacher

Hello!

Long time no post!! This week is the last week of school for 2 of my nieces, and my sister asked me to make some cards for their teachers.

For my younger *almost 3rd grader* niece, their class has had a superhero theme so I knew I wanted to use the You're Super stamp set from My Favorite Things!

Super teacher

I created the layout to look like a page out of a comic book using elements from the same stamp set, the buildings were made using a Paper Smooches diecut. Colored the Supergirl using Copics coordinating with the patterned papers, finished it all with some Spectrum Moir sparkle here and there and my card is done!

More on the second teacher card I made in the next post!

Thanks for Picking Me!

Happy May!

A new month means a new challenge at Tiddly Inks! And this month we're BLOOMING with flowers!

I 'picked' this sweet Poppy Wryn and gave her a rainbow colored poppy dress!

Picking Me

I'm still in a bit of a card making funk... I recently started getting into crocheting cute amigurumi critters and totally got hooked! (more on that in a different post!) - but hoping to get back into it soon- coloring this rainbow of flowers definitely helped & I have a few un-inked stamps calling my name!

Be sure to head over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog for all the details on the BLOOMING BEAUTIFUL challenge!

Hope you had a BLOOMING great day!

Oops, Almost forgot to post this! (it's been a bit of a hectic week!)

Tiddly Inks is back with a new monthly challenge, ROAD TRIP!

I used this super fun image of Wryn Scooting by for my card, she comes in some different variations too- the other give her a furry sidekick riding along!

Life's adventures

Added some cute coordinating patterned papers & a doily to pull it all together. (My sentiment is from Hero Arts.)

Now I want to go on road trip!

Hope to see you join the fun!

Grab Some Brew?

Coffee brew that is...

I'm back on the The Greeting Farm for my last post as guest designer! I can't thank the amazing peeps at TGF enough for this fun chance to play and share their fabulous stamps!

For my final card I used the Mini Remix- Brewtiful stamp set! AND just in time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog hop too!

Grab some brew?

I masked the sweet pup from the Mini-Remix Boys before stamping mini Anya to give her a little friend as she sips her frappe-drink! I stamped the sentiment using pieces from the Brewtiful set to create my own message, paired my images with coordinating papers, washi tape, and embellishments to complete my card!

Hi Anya!

2nd post for me today and I'm SO excited to share...

I'm guest designing with The Greeting Farm this month!

For my first card, I decided to play with one of the newer Anya images to join the Farm, Hi Anya! She's just the sweetest- loved coloring her dress and the cute flower in her hair!

Hi Anya

Since the Farm Fresh Challenge for the month of March is 'mixed media' I pulled out a few distress inks to create the background circle- using watercolor card stock I first stamped & clear heat embossed the flower that is included with the Anya set. I then choose some colors to match her flower (spun sugar, picked raspberry and seedless preserves), and blended them for and ombré effect. I added a few strips of washi tape and sequins to complete my card!

Copics:
skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
hair, C3, 100
flower: RV02, RV66, RV69, Y35
dress: BG02, BG05, BG07, BG09
boots: E44, E47, E49

Thanks for stopping by... have a fabulous day!

Need a hug?

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's the first Tuesday of the month which means its new challenge day at Tiddly Inks! This month's challenge theme is Animal Magic!

I decided to go with this sweet Penguin image Christy of Tiddly Inks created as a freebie to share a little love with all that is going on in the world today... Be Cool & Love Each Other

Love Each other

I colored the penguins in 3 shades of Copic grays (neutral, cool, & warm) and die cut the image using a Stitched tag die from Pretty Pink Posh. Keeping my card simple to allow the penguins shine, I added a simple sentiment from Lawn Fawn and put it all together using coordinating paper scraps, sequins, & a tiny wood veneer heart!

Hoping to see you play along with us... you have a whole month! Check out the details and more fabulous inspiration from the rest of the design team HERE!
