Valentine's Mailboxes
I'm actually ahead of schedule this year with Valentine's cards! (well for part of them at least!) This week's challenge on the Hero Arts blog was to create something with a heart- which meant I was scrounging for hearts, because I discovered I didn't have as many hearts as I thought I did!
Anyway, a few weeks back I found these mailboxes at Target and many others out there in the stamping world had altered them for Valentine's Day- so this idea came together perfectly! Each one personalized for each one of my nieces & nephew.
Supplies: Playful Animals; Tree, Bird & Messages (Hero Arts); Mindy's Zoo (Autumn Leaves); Felt embellishments (La-di-dah)

Now, of course these mailboxes couldn't be complete without a matching mini card inside! They are 3.25" squares:
And one last look of them all together!

Pocketful of Challenges!
Time for another one of Taylor's cupcake challenges, and another for the Hero Arts 'pockets' challenge last week- squeezing both of them in before the deadlines!
First up is my card for Taylor's challenge:
I love this build your own robot set from Stampendous- the possibilties are endless!
Supplies: Hot Botz; Botz Quotz (Stampendous); Live it Up (Hero Arts)
Supplies: Four Dolls; Thoughful Messages (Hero Arts), Scallops border punch (Stampin' Up!), Felt embellishments (La-di-dah)
Possibly another idea brewing in my head for another pocket card... off to create!
Happy Stamping!

Asian Dolls
Back again one more time before the weekend is over! My most awesome sister bought me the new Hero Arts "Four Dolls" set and I couldn't wait to use them! It gave me another opportunity to practice with my copics and have two more cards for the layers challenge.
This first card is similar to the tent topper from my previous post. I wanted to stamp all four girls together, so that layer is centered on the 4.25" square card to make it 5.5" wide and still fit in a regular envelope:
Supplies: Four Dolls (Hero Arts), Glossy Accents (Inkssentials-Ranger), gems, buttons, pearls
Here is a closer look at each one of the girls :)
This other card idea came to me today, and I'm very pleased with how it came out! The characters in each one of the circle collectively say "Gung Hay Fat Choy" or Happy New Year in Chinese. With Chinese New Year coming up in a few weeks I thought it was only fitting to incorporate this stamp to celebrate!
Supplies: Four Dolls (Hero Arts); Gung Hay Fat Choy (Design in Squares), gems, buttons, pearls, string
Thanks for stopping by- & until next time, Happy Stamping!

Spring-y!
Back again! I managed to have some creative juices flowing to make some bright Spring-y cards to participate in this week's Hero Arts layers challenge. One thing you'll also find all these cards have in common are pearl gems- I am absolutely addicted to these little things right now :) - Love em!
I started to make another card using the sketch from my previous Mojo Monday card.. but things changed as they usually do when I try to copy (CASE) a card, I did stick to the idea of the Stickles on the Prima flowers- don't they look pretty? :)
Supplies: Tree, Bird & Messages; Long Branch; Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts), Ticket Corner punch (Stampin' Up!), Prima flowers, Stickles, Glossy Accents (Inkssentials- Ranger)
Supplies: Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts), Scallop border punch (Stampin' Up!)
And my final card for today (still tinkering with the idea of making some more cards before the challenge deadline), I decided to also layer the stamped flower for some added dimension. I stamped and colored the flower 4 times, added a pop dot in between each layer, and more pearls of course. I made a small resolution with my crafting that I would actually use the supplies I had instead of just keeping them pretty in jars :) so I also added some felt pieces I had laying around.
Supplies: Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts), Bird & Swirls embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Felted shapes (La*di*dah)

It took me some time to get on the ball with the stamping last night with the previous card, but once it was done- I was one a roll!
I was inspired by these 'tent topper' cards here, and just had to give it a try- the actual card base is a 4.25" square, and the top layer with the stamped image is a 3" square adhered about an 1.25" higher to allow it to still fit in a regular (A2-I think it's called) envelope!
