Paper Sweeties March Inspiration Challenge: Waiting for Spring!

OMG- it's March! Can you believe it?

BUT it does mean that it's time for another Inspiration challenge over at Paper Sweeties!

This month's theme is "Waiting for Spring" and while I know there's a lot of you out there still digging yourselves out of the snow- we've been enjoying some pretty fabulous weather here in Arizona! (well maybe not the last couple of days of gloomy gray skies and rain- but I'll take it!)

Here is the photo inspiration for the month:

I just love those painted mason jars- makes me want to find some to spray paint- LOL!

Anyway, I kept my card super simple this time around and did some paper piecing using the newly released Pretty Posies & Garden Time sets and used the pretty pastels as the inspiration...

Happy Birthday Sk8tr!

Just a quick post to share a birthday card I made for my nephew... his birthday just happens to be on Valentine's Day, I'm a little late getting his card to him, but he knows it's on it's way! ;)

I decided to use this Sk8tr image from Tiddly Inks, he's just such a cool dude!

Happy Bday Sk8tr

Thanks for stopping by Happy Weekend!

What's Perking?

Happy FRIDAY!

And what a happy day it is- we got to start the day off by hearing our lil baby girl's heartbeat! 34 weeks down... 6 more to go (YIKES!)

Anyway, popping in to share a card I was able to pull together whilst enjoying the awesome weather we are having here in AZ (sorry East Coasters..) gathered up some markers and sat outside to color & my son played & "helped..."

Anyway, I finished up my card and I'm joining in on the fun for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Put together by the most FABULOUS hostesses Amy & Chaitali! Hope you get a chance to hop and play along- there are some AMAZING sponsors and lots of fun to be had- the deadline is March 6... so fill up those coffee cups and get crafting!

I just adore this Frappi Anya image from The Greeting Farm, that I just had to use her again!

What's Perking Anya

On my most recent trip to Michaels I found these awesome doilies in all different shades... I just had to pick up one of each color!

I'm also playing along with the Ribbons or Lace FFF challenge at The Greeting Farm this week (I got this ribbon from the dollar spot at Target!)

Enjoy the weekend!

Succulents + Copics + Kraft = ♥

I had some time to play this morning and I wanted to play along with the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

AND with the new challenge on Flickr for Simon Says Stamp & Lawn Fawn I knew I just had to join in the fun- especially since the theme is to "Get Crafty with Kraft!" Unless you're new to my blog then you would notice that I love using kraft on my cards!

I had previously created a card with Simon Says Stamps Cups & Succulents on kraft that I just loved the look of so I had to make another! (see it here!)  Except this time I also incorporated the mug from the What's Brewing stamp set- Who wouldn't love a mug full of succulents??

Succulents Mug

Here's close up of the succulents- I just love the look of copic coloring directly on kraft!

hello succulents

Hoping to find some time to also play with some Lawn Fawn & more kraft!

Thanks for stopping by!

AEI♥U Masking Challenge

Squeezing in one last card for the weekend and just under the wire for the AEI♥U Challenge!

I had been itching to play along with this challenge all week since I recently got some new (to me) Avery Elle stamps! I thought this Petals & Stems set was perfect for the MASKING challenge!

I just love the look of white stamping on kraft cardstock, and so that's what I did! Along with adding some color using some pigment inks (note to self: buy more inks!)

LOVEly Flowers

With the exception of the sentiment banner, the flowers and leaves are all one layer- here's a close up pic...

I love the way this turned out and can't wait to make some more cards like this!

Thanks for stopping by- hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Happy Chinese New Year!

My family celebrated Chinese New Year this week with lots of food & family time!

& of course the New Year wouldn't be complete without some lucky red envelopes for my son, nieces & nephew. It's the Year of the Goat, but unfortunately I didn't have any goat stamps or images to put on them! But how can you go wrong with some sweet little panda bears?

CNY Red Envelopes

This adorable panda is Shin Shin from Sister Stamps- I just adore him!

Here's my son all decked out in his Chinese outfit wishing you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

Can't wait for the next New Years when we will have another addition to our family... our little baby girl is due to arrive in April!  I can't believe how fast time is flying!

Off to enjoy the gorgeous weather we're having today in AZ!

Creative for Lawn Fawn...

Hi again...

Back this time for the Lawn Fawn portion of the Anya, Oddies & Others Inspiration blog!

It's another ANYTHING GOES challenge, so I thought it would be fun to pair it up with Lawnscaping's 100th challenge- Birthdays!

I used my favorite critter stamp from Into the Woods- LOVE that lil fox, and the sentiment is from Happy Everything! My nephew's birthday just happens to fall on Valentine's Day too- I *might* just have to send this one to him...if I can part with it myself! LOL

Thanks for stopping by- have an AMAZING weekend!
