Take Time for...

I broke my pattern this week posting everday (I missed yesterday!) but I have a few to share with you tonight that will make up for it!

My good friend Megan & I finally had the chance to get together since the holidays for our gift exchange!  She got me some fab goodies to add to my crafty stash- like this design block stamp (that I actually didn't have yet!)  I was inspired by Kristina Werner's Year in Cards (Jan. 2010) post- and here's what I came up with...

Supplies:

It was a super quick card.. I see myself using this set quite often!

I almost forgot that I had this super cute cling set! And I found this fabulous punch around the page heart punch from Martha Stewart :)

Friends Forever

Hello!  I finally had some time to squeeze in a card for the Hero Arts Challenge!!  They changed things up with the new year and now have month long themes & challenge, helps my calendar-ing out BIG time! 

This month's challenge:


I couldn't help but to ink up this sweet girl again, I have some other's from the set already colored too- hope to get them on something soon too! I went a little crazy with my white gel pen - was going for a "quilted" look (sort of)

Go Team Go!

This post is a little late- but better late than never right?

Today was Monday Mania over on the Club Anya & Friends blog w/Caz hostin' the challenge to use Anya & Ian together as a couple!

A light bulb went off in my head when I was looking at which images to use- I remembered that my sister let me "borrow" her Cheer Anya stamp while she was here visiting to ink up a few for myself :). A PERFECT match with Quarterback Ian!  Now- I'm far from a football fan, but my DH is a HUGE Colts fan so I just had to color them in their trademark blue & white.  (Added PLUS their playoff game is this weekend too, this will add to the decor while we have friends over to watch the game! LOL)

I decided to make another easel card- this time the size of a "regular' card (4 1/4"x 5 1/2") and here is what I came up with..



Supplies:
- Quarterback Ian, Cheer Anya (The Greeting Farm)
- Labels 1 nestabilties
- Scallop border punch (Stampin' Up!)
- Football textured patterned paper

- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onyx black, Copic Markers, white gel ink pen
- Other: Stickles, buttons, chipboard letters

Valentine Treat Holder

Hi there!

It was my turn again over on the InStyle Stamps blog to host Method Monday!  Last year, I had made these cute candy bar Valentine's Day treat holders & decided to show you how I made them!

The supplies you'll need:

- Scor-Pal (or any scoring tool)
- 1 sheet of cardstock 4" x 9 1/2"
- 1 sheet of cardstock 6 3/8" x 7"
- Colored image (Gidget)
- Ribbon
- Strong adhesive (I used red-line tape)
- Embellishments

Step 1:  With the 4" x 9 1/2" sheet of cardstock, Score along the long side at 6 1/2" & 6 3/4"
(hint: if you use Scor-Pal, place the edge at 1" and score at 4" and 4 1/4")


Step 2: Now turn the cardstock on the short side, and place the edge at the 3 1/2" mark & score at 4" & 4 1/4" and do the same to the other side


Step 3: Trim away the edges along the long end- as shown here

Step 4: Fold along score lines


Step 5: Glue the flaps around the back


Step 6: Set the pocket aside- with the other sheet of cardstock, along the 6 3/8" side score 3" on both sides


Step 7: Fold on score lines, adhere pocket & decorate!


Step 8: Finally- Decorate the front!

I almost forgot to post this card this week!  Sunday was another one of my nieces 9th birthday!  She is all about the color purple- so I couldn't wait to use this new set from Hero Arts.... I HAD to have this set, "Sweet Wonderful You" when I saw it during the sneak peeks!
