One Sketch- 2 Snowmen

Hi all- hope everyone had a fun, turkey-filled Thanksgiving!

Since it was a nice LONG weekend, it made for some good crafting time. Didn't get as much as I would have liked- but the night isn't over yet! I did find some time to squeeze in a card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge (#44):

Supplies: Christmas Characters (Inkadinkado), Scallop Circle die (Nestabilities- Spellbinders), Ticket corner punch (Stampin' Up!), Snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug-Provocraft), Stickles (Ranger Industries)

Using the same sketch, I also used it for the Hero Arts challenge last week for the "last minute gifts" theme. I found these cute boxes at Borders Bookstore in the clearance section, they're the size to hold a CD. I covered it with blue cardstock, added some stamping and came up with this:

Supplies: Let it Snow (Hero Arts), Snowflakes (Inkadinkado), Scallop Circle die (Nestabilities-Spellbinders), Versamark Dazzle Frost ink (Tsukineko)

Thanks for stopping in!

Green with Daisies!

I'm still working on my Christmas cards... getting a pretty good head start on them too!

Yesterday was my sister's birthday, had to wait for her to recieve the card before I could post it here since I know she checks this page (Happy Birthday!)

Supplies: Upsy Daisy (Stampin' Up!), Bird & Swirls embossing folder (Cuttlebug- Provocraft), Making Memories Patterned Paper

(I stamped the image first with my stamp normally, and again without re-inking to create the shadow. The stamped image circle is also slighted raised of the card with pop dots.)

That's all I have for now- Hope everyone has an absolutely wonderful Turkey-filled Thanksgiving tomorrow!!

31 Days 'til Christmas!

Can you believe it?!?! One month- 31 days until Christmas- Where oh where has the year gone??? My goal is to get my Christmas cards out ON TIME this year, and so far so good. I had pondered for quite sometime on what to do, I wanted something simple to allow mass production to be easy- but yet not too simple that it looked like anyone could do it :)

I definitely knew that I wanted to use this set from Hero Arts, all the animals are just so cute! And with the exception of this Santa- how could I make Christmas card without Santa?

My plan is to make a few of each of these. They all follow a basic layout but with a twist on the patterned paper, sentiment and ribbon:

Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas (Hero Arts), Welcome Christmas sentiment from Heard from the Heart (Stampin' Up!), Stickles (Ranger Industries)

Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas (Hero Arts), Welcome Christmas sentiment from Heard from the Heart (Stampin' Up!), Ornaments (G-rated Rubber Stamps), Inkssentials Glossy Accents (Ranger Industries)

Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas & Santa's Reindeer (both Hero Arts), Stickles (Ranger Industries)

Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas (Hero Arts), Merriest (Penny Black), Christmas Trees from Tag Time (Stampin' Up!), Inkssentials Glossy Accents (Ranger Industries)

Supplies: ClearDesign Jolly Christmas, Branch from Tree, Bird & Messages, Holiday Messages with Brackets (all Hero Arts), Ornaments (G-rated Rubber Stamps), Inkssentials Glossy Accents (Ranger Industries)

Supplies: Candy Cane Santa & Holiday Messages with Brackets (both Hero Arts), Liquid Applique (Marvy Uchida)

Well that's all of them! I'll try to remember to take a picture of all of them together once I'm done. Until next time, thanks for stopping by!

TECC #42

What a better way to end the weekend (already!?!?) than with another sketch challenge from Taylor's Cupcake Challenge! Over the weekend I found myself in the midst of a new-to-me scrapbooking and stamp store called Scrapbooks, Etc! Oh what a great store- I could have spent all day in there.. aisles and aisles of patterned paper, supplies, tools- and even more racks of Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock! I found some patterned paper that was just perfect for the challenge.. I used it for the background, but enough rambling-

Here is the sketch, and my card:

Supplies: ClearDesign Cupcakes (Hero Arts), Square Scallop dies (Spellbinders - Nestabilities), Patterned papers are Lasting Impressions (Cupcake Dream) & Die Cuts With a View.

I also participated in the Hero Arts challenge last week, Shari Carroll was the blogger of the week and she shared different inking techniques. For this card, I colored on the stamp with markers and spritzed it with water before stamping it on watercolor paper. I have yet to win a challenge so hopefully this will win me one!

Supplies: CardArt Decorative Birds (Hero Arts); Thank You sentiment from Upsy Daisy set (Stampin' Up!)

Hope you all had a great weekend- and until the next post, Happy Stamping!

More Baby Stuff

As I mentioned in the previous post, on November 7th a new niece was added to our family! For my sister and especially the proud BIG sister, I made this card:

Supplies: Big on Spring (Stampin' Up!), Glossy Accents (Ranger - Inkssentials)

I also made birth announcements for the little one! These are the original pattern that I had tweaked to make the birthday party invitations in the last post. The pattern and tutorial are again from Lauren Meader, her blog link can be found over on the left and also here.

Supplies: Bee Secret (Stampendous); Little Girl sentiment (Hampton Arts- Studio G); Swiss Dots embossing folder (Provocraft-Cuttlebug), Circle & Scallop punches, Cotton Candy Pink Stickles (Ranger)

Thanks for stopping by- more posts to follow...

Hedgehogs & Princesses

Well I had quite the week since my last post! I celebrated a first wedding anniversary with my hubby on Monday... and ended the week with an addition of an adorable niece on Friday!

This is the card I made for him:

Supplies: Long Kiss (Penny Black), You're Fun (Penny Black)

And the adorable niece's big sister is turning 3 later this month, and is all into Princesses, so I knew these stamps would be just perfect for the invitations! This idea was adapted from a tutorial found on Lauren Meader's blog,
