Can you believe it's only 4 months away??? (YIKES!)
I'm not sure about you, but I LOVE Pinterest! So much fun projects and inspiration. That's where I found the inspiration for the photo we used for our Christmas card a few years ago... (still finishing that 2013- I can see the light! LOL)
My son (Cayden) received the Little Tykes Coupe car from his cousins and he absolutely loved it- and STILL does! I tied my 3ft artificial Christmas tree to the top to take a photos for our card. It took a lot of goldfish snacks to keep him in the car long enough for me to snap photos! This first layout is just a few of the many "outtakes"...
and this is the facing page with the final photo on the Christmas card we sent out!
Thanks for stopping by... Happy Friday!
I'm off to polish off some more layouts!

Flipeez & Firefighter
Just another quick post to share a couple more scrapbook layouts I've done in the past few weeks...
My cardmaking mojo appears to be on vacation... hopefully it'll be back soon. In the meantime I will gladly take this scrapbooking kick!
To go along with the previous page I shared (here) I made this layout to match since my son was wearing the same sweatshirt!
My son and my nieces all got these cute Flipeez hats a few years ago and he loved wearing it. His is a puppy and when you squeeze one of the tassels the ears on the top flip up and down!
For Halloween the same year, (so close to finishing 2013!) we dressed Cayden up as a cute little firefighter. Except we had one problem- HE REFUSED TO WEAR THE COSTUME! Thankfully after a lot of patience & persistence he finally decided to wear it a little bit a day the week of Halloween! I took all I could get and as many photos as I could *just in case* he changed his mind on Halloween night!
And wouldn't you know it - he wore the costume all night and had a blast!
I still have a few more to share... but I'll save those for another post ;)

This Face... ♥
I found some time today to pull out some photos that still need to be scrapbooked... I'm still *SO* behind on my son's scrapbook, but have been squeezing in some pages here and there (that's for another post!).
I'm determined to get caught up... does that ever happen?
For this layout I decided to play along with The Memory Nest's August sketch challenge!
I used one of my favorite photos of my son from a few years ago and came up with this...
Loved being able to use up some patterned paper scraps on this page- that's what SCRAPbooking is all about right?
I'll be back to share the other layouts I've been punching out- once I can take some photos of them!

We Belong Together ♥
Took advantage of my kiddies' nap time yesterday to play along with Lawnscaping's newest challenge...EMBOSSING!
I decided to play with some new to me stamps (Thanks Ivy!) and came up with this card using the Milk & Cookies set. I thought it would be fun to make a cute little couple by adding some lil arms and legs ;) & paired it with the XOXO embossing folder since I still had it out from my last card...
The image and sentiment are also embossed- totally getting back into embossing *EVERYTHING!* Almost forgot how much I love that smooth shiny look :)

Looove you! ♥
It's Tuesday which means it's time for new challenge at Tiddly Inks!
This week's challenge is Have Heart- {use any Tiddly Inks image with a heart, heart embellishments, papers, etc- anything with a heart!}
I used this adorable Wryn Have Heart image to create this sweet card...
I didn't want to take too much attention away from the image, so I paired it with an embossed background, a matching doily, and sentiment from Mama Elephant's Origami.
Be sure to check out the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog for all the details to play along and for some amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team!

You Party Animal!
I was quite crafty this weekend- What a better way to spend the day when there are *EXTREME* heat warnings... yuck! I'll spend my days staying cool inside with air conditioning! (when the littles are napping of course ;))
I'm joining the AEIHeartU Challenge: Embossing today...
I stamped a few of the Party Animals in a rainbow of colors awhile back, but didn't have anything to put them on... until now! Might just have to make a few more of these with each colored balloon animal for a fun card set.
Since this is an embossing challenge, I embossed everything I could... the balloon animal and sentiments are heat embossed. I forgot how much I like the look of the smooth and shiny embossing- time to emboss all things! I mounted the party animal circle on the embossed card base for a quick CAS design.
Thanks for stopping by- Happy Monday!

Hello Friend
I recently picked up Mama Elephant's Tandem Ride & Tandem Extras for a 'steal' over from Simon Says Stamps, I couldn't WAIT to ink them up!
Of course I *had* color up that cute fox first! I'm playing along with the Mama Elephant Flickr group challenge for August- Watercolor!
I colored the fox and his little scene using Zig Clean Color Real Brushes, and created the background by 'ink smooshing' and splattering distress inks in coordinating colors. Added some matching sequins and a bit of twine to finish it off! Oh, and the friend sentiment is also from Mama Elephant- Origami.
Now, I can't wait to get to the rest of the cute critters on the Tandem sets, not to mention the bicycle!

You Make Every Day Cooler!
Happy Friday!
It's time for another Fab Friday over at Tiddly Inks this week!
We're dealing with some pretty extreme heat here (in Arizona) - 113*F degrees! So had to make myself feel cooler by coloring up Wryn Floating Along!
I had so much fun coloring up all the little elements around her- her hat, flip flops, & her fancy drink!
I found these awesome patterned papers hiding in my stash that matched perfectly too! How do you make your cards? Do you pick out your papers and color to match or vice versa? I definitely color first- I'm a paper addict and am pretty sure I can find something in my stash! LOL
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog for more fab inspiration from the design team, and a NEW challenge coming on Tuesday!

World Elephant Day!
Did you know there was a World Elephant Day? I surely didn't until I saw some posts floating around on facebook & instagram!
I'm totally in love with elephants too- how could you not be? They are such amazing animals! (have you seen this video?)
The stamping community has definitely caught on- there are so many sweet ellie images (I think I have them all!) out right now! Lawn Fawn, WPlus9, Avery Elle... & we can't forget Ella from Mama Elephant!
I used Ella to play along with the CAS(E) this Sketch #135 this week too!
I wanted to give no line coloring another try, and wouldn't you know it I chose the copic color family that I'm out of ink refills for! I was able to at least get Ella colored (just barely!) Here is what I came up with...

Latte Thanks!
Happy Weekend!
Popping in to share a card I was able to make today...
I checked in over on Flickr and noticed that there was a new challenge in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr group. Challenge #25 is white on white with a touch of color... pretty tough for me because I LOVE color!
I decided to use the Simon Says Stamp set What's Brewing. I randomly stamped & clear embossed the small mug from the set on white card stock to add an extra layer and some texture. Pulled out a doily from my stash and finished it off with some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
It was really hard to stop and not add more color to this card! LOL
