Paper Sweeties February Inspiration Challenge #28 - 'Sweetheart'

A new month means that it's time for a new inspiration challenge at Paper Sweeties!
(this is my 3rd post today... please scroll down to see my posts for Anya, Oddies, & Others!) 



For my card, I used the cupcake from Homemade with Love (minus the holly leaves), the heart topper is from Snow Friends, and the "Hey Cupcake" sentiment is from Sweetie Pie!



And of course you can find those sweet flower sequins in the Paper Sweeties shop too!

Hedgie-Hugs!

It's a busy blog day today!

I'm back again for my Lawn Fawn category over at Anya, Oddies & Others! You can check out my first card using The Greeting Farm here- or just keep scrolling down :)

While I had my favorite critters out for the Lawn Fawn card I posted earlier this week (see post here)  I came up with another card with the simply adorable Hedgehugs stamp set!

The options to play along for Lawn Fawn are:

* color RED
* word KISS
* HEART
* GLITTER/SPARKLES

and remember you just have to use at least one of those to join in! You can find the details HERE!


Using Quinn's abcs I stamped out the letters to alternate and spell 'kiss' and 'love!' I also used my still favorite tag die from Pretty Pink Posh, stamped & colored those adorable hedgies, and of course added some sparkly sequins & washi tape to finish off my card!

I also joining in the fun with Simon Says Stamps's Anything Goes Wednesday challenge this week!

Hello Love!

Happy February!!! Wow can you believe we're one month down into 2015 already?!?

It's the first of the month so that means time for some new challenges! and to kick off the season of LOVE the new challenges at Anya, Oddies & Others are sure to get you in the lovey dovey mood :)

For those lovers of all things The Greeting Farm, the challenge is to use at least one of the following:

* COLOR RED
* HEART
* STRIPES
* LETTERS

I chose to go with red, heart, & letters! and I just knew I had to use this new sweet Heart Ian! The sentiment is from Avery Elle's Oh Yeah! You have until February 20th to play along- hope to see you there!! Details HERE!

I'm also joining in the fun over at the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at The Greeting Farm- It's a Boys Only challenge!

Heartfelt Wishes

Happy Friday!!!

Even though it is gloomy and gray out today.. my card is quite the opposite!

I couldn't wait to color more of the new releases from Tiddly Inks this week, especially with Valentine's Day just around the corner! But instead of coloring Wryn- Have a Heart in all red and pink, I added a little more color...



& here's a closer pic of just Sweet Wryn ;)



I didn't think about adding the 'I Love You' in her hearts til after I colored- so they're a bit hard to see.

Are you getting crafty this weekend- there's been a bit of noise about some "big game" happening Sunday- are you a fan? LOL!

Critter Crazy!

Doing a bit of Chi Chi Memories catch up since somehow my card last week didn't post!

Happy Monday!

Had some time to play just for fun this weekend and this idea popped into my head after seeing the newest Lawnscaping Challenge...



And since Valentine's day is right around the corner I thought this would be a sweet card!



I created the my background using the X & O from quinn's ABC's, and of course those elephants are from Love You Tons! I'm lovin' the look of the red on kraft, but then again what doesn't look good with kraft? With a few strips of washi and some sequins and I called my card done!

Chi Chi Memories January Girls

Tiddly Inks: Feeling Frosty!

(but not really... we've been enjoying some gorgeous 70* degree weather here!)

But it IS time for a new challenge at Tiddly Inks! & this week's theme is "Frosty Feeling"

I decided that a CAS card was the way to go this week, and used Lilli Claire- Warm Wishes



I had to squeeze the life out of my last little tube of liquid applique for her ear muffs, and other fuzzy accents... time to buy some more!!

Paper Sweeties January Release Rewind!

Last and final preview of the new Paper Sweeties new January release- they were released yesterday- did you get yours???

For today's "Release Rewind" I decided to pair up Bundle of Joy with the Showering You with Love bundle to create this fun and cute baby shower card...

Paper Sweeties January Release Countdown!

I'm back again with another peek of Paper Sweeties newest release!

Today, I'm sharing what I created using the Bundle of Joy stamp & Sweet Cuts dies...



This set is just perfect for paper piecing- so that's what I did!  I also used the button stamp from the Bouncing Baby set to stamp my background with Versamark ink.

Paper Sweeties January Release Sneak Peeks!

I'm so excited to start off the January Sneak Peeks for Paper Sweeties!

This month's releases are:

Bundle of Joy, the matching Sweet Cuts dies, & Bouncing Baby. They'll all be available in the Paper Sweeties shop on January 16th!

For those of you that didn't know I'm expecting a bouncing baby GIRL myself this Spring in April! So that might just explain why these sets might just be my favorite release so far! :)

Enough chit chat, here's my first sneak peek card using Bouncing Baby!



I just love giraffes.. and this one is so super sweet and perfect for little baby cards! I matched some patterned papers, added a touch of some seam binding- also found in the Paper Sweeties shop here, & sprinkled some cute flower sequins for some extra sparkle!

Musical Birthday

Happy Monday Peeps!

I'm squeezing in a post today- before some fun previews for Paper Sweeties starts (tomorrow! You won't want to miss it!!)

I recently got an order for a birthday card for a friend of my sister's... she requested a music themed birthday card for her music-major daughter.  I decided that I was going to have to do some stamp altering/mashing to create the image I wanted...

Enter Guitar Ian & Simply Anya!


I took the guitar playing body of Ian and pieced it together with the luscious locks of Anya and VOILA!

You Warm My ♥!

I finally had some time to play along with the *NEW* MFT Card Challenge! Headed up by the ever fabulous Ms. Susan Opel as the Creative Ambassador, and I can't forget about the amazing new design team!

I decided to that this Doodle Garden I'm Raptor Around Your Finger would be perfect! (Unfortunately it looks like this line is no longer carried by MFT) & the woodgrain on the circle is one of my FAVORITE MFT background stamps!

I had so much fun coloring him... here's a bit of a close up of the coloring and the texture I experimented with the colorless blender.

Happy Birthday Brit!

I'm a little late posting this but the past two weeks were a little crazy with family in town & I didn't have much blogging time in the books!

We started off the new year with a celebration (no, not for new years...) but another one of my niece's had her birthday on the 3rd!

She loves everything purple so I thought the Anya from the My Sunshine set would look perfect in purple!



and of course we couldn't have a party without some cake! As requested by the birthday girl... I made napoleon pastries with raspberries!



& they were delish (if I do say so myself ;))
