Yahoo for a long weekend! It was good for some quality crafting time, and some relaxing! But couldn't let the weekend pass without participating in another one of Taylor's Cupcake Challenge! I didn't use a cupcake, but this cute hedgehog from Penny Black.

COMPLETED: Baby shower invites!

They are DONE! I finished up both the baby shower invitations and the matching thank you cards last night! I am quite pleased with how they turned out :)

I was on a roll! I made a few minor changes from the original sample- but all to make it a little 'easier' on me. I decided to use eyelets instead of the the brads to hold it all together- I LOVE my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite- no more hammering! :)

For the thank yous, I got to test out my new 'threading water' border punch by Fiskars... let me just say how much of a time saver this was- I had been punching the scallop borders one scallop at at time with my corner rounder punch.

Happy Birthday to....

Just had to get back into the swing of things with some of my goodies from my previous post! I had gone to a small convention/stamp show a few weeks ago, my great find there = Spellbinders Nestabilities! These little die-cutters/embossers are so cool! As you can see from my recent entries for the Hero Arts birthday challenge, I went a little nuts and used them on each one!

I L-O-V-E finding a GREAT deal!

Last week I was in California visiting family. While I was there my sister's local scrapbook store was having a flea market sale- many of their customers had brought in their stamps and other crafting goodies to sell (think giant garage sale). We arrived at 9:15am to be about 20th in line waiting for the store to open at 10:00am! It was a TON of fun and I made out with some AWESOME bargains. Mostly retired Stampin' Up and Close to My Heart sets for just a couple of bucks!


Just looking at all those stamps makes me want to go home and play with them!

TECC #27!

Another weekend, another cupcake challenge! After seeing this adorable chef on Taylored Expressions last week- I couldn't help to get one for myself and to use him for this week's card. I am having so much fun with all these challenges, I can't wait for the next one!
